Welcome to our family’s custom-built, high-end A-frame cottage on a peaceful channel near Lake Erie. Cross the road and over a dune to reach a secluded beach on the edge of Long Point, the world’s longest freshwater sand spit.
Designed for family getaways, not parties, POPPINpines offers the perfect balance of comfort, connection, and outdoor fun.
The Space Includes:
• Private dock (guest cleats for boats up to 24’+)
• Free canoe + lightweight kayaks (2025)
• Indoor loft net — a cozy play + chill space kids love
• Double-sided stone fireplace & 2 wood-burning hearths
• Barista station + kitchen w/ 2 full ovens
• Alexa surround system + Spotify
• New mattresses, linens, & towels (2025)
• Beach access just steps away
• 30’ wraparound deck + balcony off master
• Large lawn, firepit, 6–10 chairs (on-site use only)
• Ample parking along property perimeter (no driveway)
Other Notes:
• Roads are plowed in winter
• Garbage pickup is Mondays @ 7AM
• Fourth bedroom is an open loft (not enclosed)
• No large groups or party bookings — this is a quiet, family-focused area

Our family has been staying at this cottage every year since 2021, and it’s always a wonderful experience! It comfortably fits three small families — ours, my sister’s, and the grandparents. The layout is well thought-out, the bathrooms are clean and spacious, and the kitchen has everything you need for a comfortable stay with a larger group.Over the years, the cottage has seen many thoughtful upgrades. One of our favorite features is a cozy netted area on the second level — perfect for keeping an eye on the kids while enjoying a cup of coffee or playing board games downstairs in the dining area.The location couldn’t be more convenient — just a short walk to the beach, which is ideal for grandparents or families with young children. The beach itself is fantastic: shallow areas make it safe for little ones, but deeper water is easily accessible too.We’ve celebrated birthdays and special milestones here, and every year our kids ask when we’re coming back — it’s truly become a cherished tradition for our family.

Everything here is designed for comfort. The brand-new beds with 100% cotton sheets were a dream after a long day outside, and the plush towels made it feel like a luxury stay. The kitchen had everything we needed, which made cooking super easy. We also loved the dedicated desk space in the master bedroom—I managed to sneak in some quiet morning coffee from the espresso machine and catch up on emails before the day got busy. The location is unbeatable too—being able to walk to the beach and have direct water access, with kayaks in the back yard for the kids made this a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.
