The Santa Elena is a lovely stucco and stone accommodation facing Big Bend’s famous “Mule Ears” in the nearby Big Bend National Park.

The cozy room features a queen-size bed, air conditioning, wifi, and direct access to the West Courtyard and its’ firepit. The private bathroom includes a shower.

Its namesake, The Santa Elena Canyon is a fifty-minute drive from our guesthouse.

The cabin/room was beautiful! We stayed in the Santa Elena and the size and restroom was perfect for us. All very nice, rustic ranch decor! We enjoyed the porch and outdoor areas for sunrise and sunset! Host was very helpful and always accessible. Can't wait to stay here again.

Glad we arrived early enough to relax on the beautiful patio. My husband has a prosthetic leg and I was not aware of the outside steps. But other than that, it was a wonderful stay.

Very cute property in the heart of ghost town. Hot water worked great, and the a/c/heater kept us very comfortable overnight even though it was super windy and cold outside. The communical kitchen worked well for us to cook a steak and enjoy on the patio. Beautiful scenary!

Beautiful location right outside the West entrance to the National Park. Coffee shop in Terlingua is just near the guesthouse. Sunrise over the mountains is spectacular, and the dark skies at night mean awesome starscapes.

The room and bath were clean, unique, quiet. Good quality linens and pleasant outdoor space. Stargazing at night and proximity to national and state parks were of first concern. Terlingua itself is an experience all its own, but people are friendly. Good dinner at the Starlight Theater, fun treats at Milly Way, and great breakfast and coffee at the Espresso y Mas! Suggest to owner that a plastic bathmat be available as the shower floor when wet and soapy was extremely slick. Also, we own property in the hill country with septic system and a boat with pump heads. None have ever required us to prohibit flushing of toilet paper. Surprising in a property at this price point.

This place was even better than the pictures showed! It was literally the perfect place to stay there. It’s close to the entrance of the park, it’s close to the cutest and best coffee shop (which by the way, has the best breakfast, particularly the eggs Benedict) , and it’s also close to the starlight theater restaurant, which is open every day at 5 PM for dinner and the food was also awesome there too. The staff was very helpful and very quick to respond and very, very nice! We had the best time and if I ever come back out that way, I will definitely stay at the same place again. Definitely exceeded all of my expectations!

Not a lot of options near Big Bend, but loved our stay hear. So much character and room 1 has a private bath. Finding air conditioning and plumbing is hard, but really impressed with this. Love the atmosphere of Terlingua and the convenience to get to Big Bend NP. Really enjoyed our stay.

My wife and I stayed while visiting the Big Bend area. The room was perfect for the 2 of us. Close to Bog Bend National Park and walking distance to most everything in the Terlingua Ghost town

Housing options are limited and expensive in this area. The owner has taken an old property and made it special for a guest stay. The bed was comfortable but a bit noisy. On site coffee shop was a real plus. Not being able to flush toilet paper was a new experience for us. The AC worked well and the host was available 24/7 for any special needs

Las Posada Milagro is a charming guest house situated hillside in Terlingua! We stayed in the Santa Elena Suite, cozy with authentic appeal. It’s close proximity to Big Bend was perfect: days of hiking in the park followed by relaxing star gazing on the luscious patio. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend this casita in Terlingua Ghost Town. Cool decor with a West Texas vibe. Loved the patio areas for stargazing. Sits high above the “town” so great views of sunrise over the mountains. Walking distance to breakfast /lunch at La Posada Milagra as well as the Starlight Theater for dinner. Easy drive to Big Bend for day trips. Enjoy!

Loved La Posada Milagro. Stayed two nights in mid May. Room was comfortable and nicely appointed, felt like a cool, cozy retreat from the May heat. Views from the room and property are spectacular. Decided to make our own dinner one night in the open kitchen given the vista. Patio wall visit from a road runner a plus. Communication with Joel was prompt. Will stay again on another visit.
