Very chilly in winter

The decor in the room was lovely, and the restaurant had a nice vibe. The location is great and the price was decent (though I would have paid more for a hotel with better heat and outlets)

The heat was almost nonexistent, in January. The radiator was on max and it was barely warm. There was only one outlet in the whole room, and I had to unplug the lamp in order to use the water boiler. The shower did not have a curtain, so there was a constant draft while showering and the entire bathroom got very steamy. The sheets had a slight mildew smell. There was no soap in the bathroom! Luckily I had a bar of soap with me, but I hate when hotels don’t provide hand soap.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hôtel des Pins in Normandy! The location couldn’t be better — just a short walk from the beach, where you can enjoy peaceful mornings and beautiful sunsets. The hotel has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that perfectly captures the charm of coastal Normandy. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated, with lovely touches that made me feel right at home. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready with great local recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. If you’re looking for a relaxing seaside escape with friendly service and an ideal location, Hôtel des Pins is the perfect choice.

The restaurant is worth the stay. The rooms need an uprade

The restaurant is very cozy and serves good food

Our room had a very, very old bathroom. Actually it was not bathroom, it was a shower room. I would guess, at least 40 years old. The breakfast is not a buffet. Instead you get a set a bread, croissant, butter and jam, coffee or tea and an orange juice.

Chose hotel as nothing else available at a reasonable price due to Tour de France. Won't be back.

Hotel was well located if you like a beach (we don't). Room was nice and clean (separate toilet rather strange these days) Nice modern bathroom and shower was excellent.

Had a pizza in the restaurant - very poor. Parking free on back streets but impossible if a sunny day, beach packed.

A memorable hotel in a nice town.

A hotel and restaurant with quirky attractive decorwhich suited our needs perfectly. Very close to the beach but the tide did go out a long way. The Tuesday morning market was a delightful surprise.

Parking was not as easy as implied but we did find a spot near by. The restaurant closed at 9:00 pm which we thought was a little early.

I won't be back.

Comfy bed and spacious room.

Decor was dated and bathroom of my superior room was a bizarre plastic cabin from the 80s. Not a great shower experience. I left a do not disturb sign on the door while I went for breakfast as my laptop was out etc and when I came back, the bed had been stripped and remade for the next guest and window left open (I had closed it due to security). I've never experienced this before with hours to go until checkout - if felt disrespectful. We ate in the restaurant because it was the only place open and it was among one of the worst and most disappointing meals of my life. Long waits, a grey and unpleasant tuna tataki (which had not been seared), an overcooked and inedible fillet steak (I had ordered it pink), cold frites and a steak tartare that was basically supermarket mince mixed with mayonnaise. I'm not convinced there was an actual chef in the kitchen that night. I did explain our problems but was still presented with a full bill - when I questioned this they comped a bottle of water and the scary tuna, but having paid 35 euros for a terrible steak that I couldn't eat will haunt me for a while longer.

Cute hotel. Best location, very close to the beach in the center of the city. Plenty of great restraunts, coffee shops, shopping and just walking trails. Near-by parking for the car easy accessable.

Noisy. Especially rooms facing the street. Woken up by the garbage trucks at 6:30 am.

A fair place to stay albeit overpriced

Excellent location, friendly staff. Restaurant directly in the hotel with more in the immediate vicinity, also a supermarket. The beach is just around the corner.

Each room in the two-bedroom apartment has a WC directly in the shower space that itself resembles a small ferry cabin. One properly sized shower and WC for the entire apartment would have been a better design choice. Walls could use some fresh paint.

Good value - nice place.

This was a really clean hotel, quaint with retro decor. Very similar to the photos on the website. Staff contacted me by phone in advance of my arrival and were very accommodating to a late arrival and checkin. The room was small but comfortable with good ensuite (excellent shower once I worked out how to turn it on!). The rate was very reasonable for the room.

The Wifi was enabled but didn't work. I was offered breakfast for 10 euro but this wasn't really good value - some croissants, an orange, baguette and a yoghurt. I had to pay additionally for the coffee with breakfast. The worst thing was the noise from the rooms - very poor insulation and the room next to me were very noisy, very late (not the hotel's fault but worth knowing).

Exceptional

The staff who work here are lovely and super nice. I was advised to order the Steak Tartar with tomatoes for dinner. It was fantastic I was on a long distance ( 3000 mile) motorcycle tour and ended up here because it was an hour from Cherbourg I was in love with this area. The Hotel is just beside an amazing beach. I have travelled all over, but nowhere is like Normandy
