The garden was absolutely fabulous! Yannis and his family were very kind and helpful. Special thanks for the pomegranades and figs (and umbrellas in one rainy day)that we received from them! Location was great too!

We had an amazing time at the beautiful Venezian Castle House. The owners are so nice and welcoming. Lots of space inside and outside, amazing terrace to chill in the evening and lots of amenities. As we were traveling with my 4-year old, the big kitchen and washing machine is such a big plus! The house is facing a nice garden and is conveniently located near everything (supermarket, beach, tavernas, shops, bus station and ferry to Balos). I would love to come back!
The street can be a bit noisy at night but nothing crazy.

We simply loved it! Great host who was very attentive, always up for a chat and providing lots of useful insider tips and advice, at the same time respecting our privacy. Giannis lives with his family just above the flat, and they treated us with home-made sweets and olives, tsikoudiá (rakí), candy, bringing us a baby blanket and thus making us feel at home. Thank you very much for your hospitality! :-)
The location is great, right in the town center and very close to the promenade and the beach as well as restaurants and cafés.
The flat itself is spacious and traditional, so if you want to get a feeling of 'real' Crete, this is the place to be! Maybe the mattress in the main bedroom needs to be replaced at some point, but considering the price you pay, it is more than enough.
At night, there is some noise on the street just before the house caused by bikers passing by, with a peak on Saturday night. So you might want to bring your earplugs. Apart from that, it is just perfect!

It's a very big house, very comfortable! The position is perfect, very close to the beach and to the city centre. The owner and his family are very nice and helpful. From here you can reach by the best beaches in Crete in max one hour!
