Lowood is close to Exmoor National Park and set in 4.5 acres of beautiful grounds where swifts, owls and kingfishers flourish, and the river is home to ducks, otters and fish. This vacation rental in southwest England is a wonderful place to stay for your getaway. Lowood is located in the county of Somerset, on the edge of Exmoor , with the dramatic coastline 3 miles from the house. Also nearby is Dunster Castle, the West Somerset Steam Railway and Watchet's picturesque harbour. Visitors can explore the pretty village of Porlock, Porlock Weir and its small harbour. The delightful resorts of Lynton and Lynmouth, towns linked by a unique cliff railway, are a short trip from Lowood.

Querky place with lots of things to do on site or within 20 minute drive. Go fossil hunting, exp.oring castles, walk in nature, go to the beach.Family loved having a place where they felt that the kids safe and lots of games available on site - I mean lots... an immense cupboard full. Fig tree was heavy in fruit and t he outside play area was well used.

The property was stunning with plenty of room for all of us to celebrate our mum's 70th birthday. So much for the children to do and the house was well equipped with everything we needed, including towels

We had a wonderful time at Lowood Cottage. Everything you could possibly need was there and the whole place had such a lovely homely atmosphere. Would highly recommend. Thanks for making our 80th and 18th birthday celebrations extra special.
