Charming place with a rustic vibe! While it’s not in the heart of the city, the tranquility and surroundings were worth it, Plus, we found some beautiful hiking spots just a drive away, Would definitely recommend!

The very beautiful house close to the Croatian/Slovenian border was probably the cleanest holiday home we ever have booked; they even changed our bed linen and towels after one week of stay and cleaned all the floors. With the pool and plenty of space, the house is perfect to relax and take a step back and enjoy the scenery of Slum, which consists of a few old, traditional natural stone houses. For shopping and eating out you’ll have to drive for 10-20 minutes, Slum doesn’t have a store or dining place. It’s a good base to drive to Trieste, Pula or Ljubljana and we’d recommend visiting those. The owner is very forthcoming and organizes everything so you’ll have time to relax, be sure to drop by his Pizzeria because the food is great. The house has plenty of tech & wifi/internet are as fast as you’d wish (I did measure 160/100Mbit), so having some serious binge watching when the weather is not perfect is no problem. We really did enjoy our two-week stay here – two thumbs up for Dinko and his team!
