Apartment Marbella Golf With Pool - Happy Rentals

We recently stayed in this beautiful apartment in Spain for two weeks. Overall, we had a lovely holiday, and the apartment itself was stunning with a fantastic location. We had a car for our stay, which was required, and know the area well. The air con was excellent! The pool air was immaculate with wonderful amenities. A special mention goes to our rep, Anna, who was incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive throughout our stay. She was a real credit to the company and did everything she could to assist us.

That said, there were a number of maintenance and housekeeping issues that took away from what should have been a premium experience, especially given the cost of the holiday. On arrival, there were a few minor oversights, such as a packet of chewing gum left in a drawer, no wine opener or scissors in the apartment, and the pots and pans could have been cleaner. There was also noticeable wear and tear on some of the walls, which wasn’t a major issue but was evident. More concerning were several maintenance issues that the management appeared to be aware of before our arrival. The apartment door lock was faulty, leaving us unable to lock the apartment for several evenings on two separate occasions. The smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling when we arrived and took several days to be reattached, followed by another day before the battery was replaced. The fridge door hinge needed repairing to allow it to close properly, and one of the windows required a new lock. We also found that the bedside lamps couldn’t be used as there were no suitable plugs for the USB connections, and there were no sheets provided to go under the duvet covers, which meant the duvet itself appeared quite marked. None of these issues ruined our holiday, and once again, Anna did everything she could to help. However, for an apartment costing around £3,600 for a two-week stay, we would have expected these known maintenance issues to have been resolved before guests arrived. With a little more attention to maintenance and pre-arrival checks, this would easily be a five-star property. We genuinely enjoyed our stay and hope these points are taken as constructive feedback to help improve the experience for future guests.
