wud stay again

bit untidy but it was all good we cud still have lot off fun and then kids enjoy themselves

the location of the property was great, it has beautiful view around it. it’s good for max 3-4 people not more than that.

the property need renovation. carpets were very old and dirty full of dusts. The Bath was olden style and the floor of the toilet needs all renovation . the toilet light did not work and we had big trouble using it at night until I asked the owner after 4 days of staying the light was changed and we left 2 days earlier than expected of 7 days.

Nothing the chalet was filthy dirty inside and outside seating was disgusting. On opening the door was met by a foul smell. This was just the beginning of a really bad experience. Bad stains on beds and pillows. Cobwebs and spiders in food and glass cabinets. One sofa had obviously been used as a dog bed. Had not even been straightened out never mind cleaned. Phoned the owner and asked for refund, she refused and offered £50 and for cleaner to return, what is point of sending cleaner who didn’t clean rthe first time. The outside seating area was filthy, seats not cleaned, floor not cleaned. It was the worst place i have come across in 30 years of booking accomodation. I didn’t stay and i would advise that nobody should even contemplate in staying here. I am actually contacting trading standards to check this place out. It was filthy!!!

The view from the Chalet is beautiful it was in a very quiet area. The chalet is well equiped.

The chalet was not prepared before our arrival. The faux grass on the terrace was covered in cigarette butts (it looked like a flower pot of butts had blown over. The chalet would not be suitable for those with mobility issues (could not see that on Booking.com) Bathroom mat was soaking wet we had to put it outside. Plastic bath mat was rolled up and was filthy full of bugs. Bathroom cupboard and medicine cabinet very dirty inside. Kitchen worktop was dirty in the corner and behind the microwave. Kitchen cupboards not cleaned inside. Electric plugs and wires grimy. The microwave is rusty inside. Carpets in bedrooms not vacuumed. Vacuum cleaner was full of dirt it had not been emptied for a long time. Main bedroom the cupboard was very dirty inside. There were peanuts and a child's shirt under the sofa. I looked up previous reviews and owners have not addressed cleanliness issues. We did not contact the owners to complain but we washed utensils etc before use. Chalet needs a deep clean.. We do have photos to back up our issues.

Location was good

The chalet was not cleaned properly. We found dust and hair .. so we vacated one day early.

We booked for 5 days but stay less than 24 hours. We was going to take our dogs, (which we paid an extra £50 for) but thank god we didn't take them. There is no parking near the chalet, there's also no designated parking on the site so once you've decided where's best to park you have to walk up a very steep path and some awkward steps to get to the chalet garden. The garden was untidy and had rubbish in it (not very safe if you had your dog). The first thing you notice when you open the front door is the smell, it smelt like mould, damp and dirt! The carpet is all scraps, dirty and un-vacuumed. There's two sofas, both very tired looking and stained. There's a small kitchen with food smears and crumbs on all the electrical appliances and what we could only describe as an oily residue mixed with dust on the crockery and surfaces. The bin hadn't been cleaned in a long time and had old food and mould on the inside of the lid, and the floor was covered in dirt and hadn't been mopped and there was stained kitchen roll and a dirty cloth left on the side. There was also opened packets of food left in the cupboard and opened sauce bottles. There was two notes left on the cupboard door, one telling us to leave the place clean when we left which we found hilarious and the other telling us that we could only use one electrical item at a time ie. shower OR cooker OR emersion heater. The bathroom light switch was so dirty it was growing its own life form, there was a bath mat with mess on it and mould growing around the bath and toilet and the toilet hadn't been cleaned inside. I wiped the floor infront of the toilet and the cloth was black with dirt. The bedroom is tiny with the bed pushed against the wall and the curtains were closed. We looked at the duvet and pillows provided which were stained and torn.

The view was lovely

There was no staff onsite and the place wasn’t the cleanest. We also then got an email saying we damaged property in which we were going to have to buy them a brand new sofa however we had evidence to prove we didn’t and then when we showed them we never got a reply!

What we liked most about this chalet was its location. The chalet is located in the grounds of Woodlands Holiday Park, which is situated on a hillside. From the chalet, which is situated on the upper part of the resort, there is a magnificent view of the valley, the nearby mountains and the sea, which can be seen on the horizon.

It's hard to say.

Everything was exceptional and of good quality. People around us were kind and always happy. View from this chalet was better than I imagined. Every thing nessecary was already there. Definitely reccomend😁

It was not clean and full with mold and damp we cut our hoilday short only stayed for 2 days and nothing on site was open not even the office

The biggest ‘woah factor’ was the amazing view from the terrace and the nearby waterfalls.

Other everything was pretty good and enjoyable.

I tried to cancel the booking or shift for another date due to the raining forecast but the refused to money back or move the date so the holiday could be more enjoyable for my family.

Fantastic views, had everything we needed. A bit dated but good value for money. Hosts good.

Anyone who struggles walking would not get up the long steep path, followed by steps. You would struggle to push a pram or get anyone up who isn’t very good on their feet. But if you are fit then the view is outstanding. Very pleasant sat out a real sun trap.

Lovely location with beautiful view, reasonable price for little wooded chalet.

Unfortunately we had a cleaning issue- dust all over the place and damp.

Springside Chalet is a wonderfull place to spend the holiday. The owners were very nice when I asked them for Information. Very clean cottage and equipped with everything you need.The cottage is located upstairs and makes the landscape unforgettable. We will definitely be back soon. Lovely views quiet and peaceful

Can't park near to chalet and exceptional steep paths to drag luggage up. Need to be fit or not suitable. Chalet spaces all full of personal stuff so no luggage storage. Had to work from suitcases. Even had used tooth brushes in bathroom cupboard. Not good with Covid 19. Mold all over lounge walls. Mold all over bathroom. Rodent traps left in lounge not good with young children. Stains on sofa bed Rear windows in desperate need of cleaning.
