Fab accommodation and the refurb was just wowow. Beds, living room, kitchen, and conservatory were comfortable. Parking available for 2-3 cars easily. Easy check in and responsive owner. Loved that some board games were available for us to play during rainy days. Kitchen was well equipped. Showers were clean with hot water. The conservatory had views of the beautiful garden as well as the sea - and we saw red squirrels! Great stay.
That we didn't stay longer!

The location was just perfect. Corrie is such a beautiful village. Everywhere is so pristine and well maintained.
The only downside (and this isn't a criticism of the property) is that we never managed to see much of the "Big 5". We did see a few red squirrels and a couple of deer/stags (near Lochranza) but unfortunately no otters, seals, porpoise/dolphins, or golden eagles. Maybe we were just unlucky. But this didn't detract from our love of the island's beauty.

Great location and a very interesting conversion of a heritage property. Excellent facilities. Lovely garden offering privacy. Good wifi. Lovely location close to the sea and walking distance to pubs and restaurants.
Some minor maintenance issues and a few cobwebs. Not much needed to fix. This did not stop us having a great time.

Unique, stylish, comfortable, spacious and practical
accommodation in beautiful grounds and location in Corrie. Everything you need is provided for with generous provision of the essentials - and a bottle of welcome wine! The church has been restored beautifully making the most of its ‘churchy’ features whilst prioritising comfort and relaxation in warm and cosy living spaces.

Quiet location with views to beautiful gardens and sea.
Kitchen was very well equipped.
Very spacious rooms including the kitchen, dining room, lounge on mezzine floor and entrance hall.
Both showers were excellent.
Good communication 'before' start of holiday.
A short walk to the the local pub/restaurant (Corrie Hotel).
Confusing and conflicting instructions on check-out.
We basically had to thoroughly clean the apartment (which we would normally do most of the things listed). But this included, strip the beds, vacuum, empty the dishwasher, put all crockery away, all food to be discarded and put the bins out at the bottom of the garden. And yet we were charged £125 for cleaning. We also had to complete the cleaning, pack our cases and load up the car before an early 10:00am check-out.
The entrance gate would often stick with the stones.
The creaking noise from the upstairs mezzanine floorboards is excessive when you are in the downstairs bedroom.

Very quirky. The location is handy for Goatfell and the sea. Large kitchen. Welcome pack. Nice bathroom and double bedroom.
It's actually attached to another property, the church is split into two, not very private. The layout of the property didn't work for me personally lounge upstairs and kitchen downstairs. No blinds in the bedroom upstairs. The conservatory glass roof was very dirty, covered in moss. Expensive.

Location and the fact it was a converted chapel
Needs updating and refurbishing. Tumble dryer did not work. Oven not properly in unit casing. Issue with upstairs shower which was not resolved during stay and we were unable to use. Monogrammed linen and mugs really depersonalising. Broken window pane in porch with plants piling through. Bits of wood dropping off internally in porch. General air of poor maintenance and lack of deep cleaning. Outside conservatory glass in need of a good clean.

location perfect .
Building unique
Ventilation poor for and unusually hot weekend . Internet did not work for TV. Upstairs twin bedroom window safety catch broken (falls risk). Toiletries and welcome wine were not from local area (English and M and S) Missed opportunity to show case Scotland

Location right on the seafront with only the road inbetween the property and the sea was amazing.......wonderful to hear the sound of waves crashing against the shore when sitting in the garden and walking the dog!!!
What could have been better?.......a longer stay!!!!

We booked Eastkirk for a long weekend to celebrate my turning 40. The property was one of the best we've experienced. The building is beautiful, a lovely mix of modern and historic, with lots of space and homely touches. We particularly enjoyed the glass house looking out into the garden and across the water - also the perfect spot to stare up at the stars on a clear night.
The property was extremely well equipped, with everything we could possibly need during our stay.
Arran is one of my favourite places for a short break - the scenery, wildlife and tranquility never fails to disappoint. This was the first time we stayed in Corrie. Very picturesque and peaceful, and a short drive to amenities in Brodick.
I hope to return to Eastkirk next time we visit the island.
Couldn't possibly fault this property, so instead I'll leave a couple of tips for travelers:
Bring a decent torch! The walk to the hotel from Eastkirk is only 6 minutes away but at night the walk back is pitch black. On the upside you get a spectacular view of the stars - we saw comets!
We recommend visiting the Corrie Hotel for some food and a drink. The service is great and very friendly.

Nothing - we loved it

Converted church: beautiful.
Locating the property: dependence on Google inappropriate in rural area. Had to call owner. Luckily it wasn't dark: unlit road would have made finding property even harder.

The space was good and having one bathroom for each bedroom and lots of sitting areas in a well converted church. The dining area was great and lots of space again
The TV was poorly located and relatively small, the conservatory was cold at night for sitting and be aware of the upstairs bedroom as the glass is large at the side and above without curtains - it was good for the other couple we travelled with as they liked it - it would not have suited me

Just to say we had a lovely time at Eastkirk. Arran is such a lovely island the the property is very well adapted from the church it once was. We loved the quirkiness of the property and the super large kitchen.
The church was very clean and well presented when we arrived and the wine was much appreciated. Thank you.

Beautiful location, sea views and gorgeous garden.

The location was stunning.
The downstairs layout and Bedroom and Bathroom of the Property were lovely and tastefully done.
Upstairs layout requires a re-think. The Twin bedroom does not work in this property. Too small for two people in size and bathroom layout also very small. The glass windows and roof needed cleaning and when it rained heavily it was like bullets being fired on the roof during the night. No real wardrobe space.
TV requires to have better options i.e. DVD player at least.

We loved everything about Eastkirk. It was a lovely break away and very different from our normal holiday at this time of year - due to coronavirus. Arran is a lovely place for a holiday and staying at Eastkirk made it extra special.
There was nothing that we didn’t like about Eastkirk.

Loved every minute of our stay in Eastkirk, the church is absolutely stunning and has most beautiful surroundings. The owner is very helpful. I hope it will be my first of many trips here as wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else on Arran.

The quirkiness of the property being a converted church and the sympathetic way it had been done by making the most of the original features. The added conservatory was also a great space with lovely views over the garden to the water.
It would be better if the heating controls were inside the property rather than the adjacent boiler house but not really an issue for us. A few beer glasses would be good too.

Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet. Zwar an der Straße, aber Dank Bushaltestelle auch eine Möglichkeit, bequem in beide Richtungen zu fahren
