It’s just perfect

The noise from the construction this trip was not very pleasant

Not our first time at Sterling Sands - we love it here. Location was great and the place was very clean. Kitchen has everything you need except for storage containers for left overs. The porch furniture was amazing and comfy. Advice - when you check in go straight to the chair and umbrella rental shack first thing to reserve your prepaid chair and umbrella. This will help you avoid a line the next morning and delays on being able to set up prior to 9am. We rented an additional umbrella as we were a party of 4 and had 2 chairs with us already. Restaurants we ate at that was GREAT - Kenny D's, McGuires Irish Pub, The Shrimp Basket, Sandlot Sports Bar, Merlin's Pizza, The Boathouse at the harbor walk, and top it off with The Back Porch. We also rented a pontoon for the day from Boogies Pontoon rental and went to crab island, which was fantastic and never disappoints. We did have a great week of clear weather however I haven't been to Destin in June and the last 2 days of our trip the June grass was rolling in. Made for an icky ocean day, but great pool day!!

The master bed does need to be either flipped or replaced. Both sides of the bed are dipped in pretty good, meaning you can not roll over easily and stuck in one place. The master shower needs either an over the shower head caddy for you to be able to hang your wash rags/sponges from and your shampoo/conditioner instead of sitting them on the shower floor.

The location was excellent couldn't have asked for a better view. The wall to wall windows and sliding doors were perfect with the amazing view we had. Waking up to a view like that and going to sleep with a view like that is breath taking. The condo was perfect. The size was perfect for 6 ppl. The beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. We had pretty much everything we could possibly need. I will definitely be booking another vacation there at Sterling Sands. The pool and beach were pretty much right at our feet. We stayed on the second floor. Our room was right off the elevators so that was nice. And we had all attractions and food close even walking distance. Walmart was 5min down the street so convient if your staying more than a few days. I didn't want my vacation to end.

I only have 1 complaint. They don't allow smoking anywhere but in front of the condos under the awning. But our place smelled of cigarettes. And then got accused by the night security guard of smoking more then once. Because he said he seen smoke coming from our balcony on our first night and we had just got there and had put our things down to take a look at the view. And from that first day I felt like he was harassing us. Would sit at the corner of the pool just watching us while we sat on our balcony trying to enjoy beautiful view. They did offer to air clean the place to get rid of the smoke smell. That I did appreciate.

Great location and very nice room.

Jacuzzi tub didn’t work. Beach staff was not very personable. We are not a family that gets to travel and see spend a lot of time in these type of places very often so we don’t know how things work. When asking them questions they were very rude and short about their answers.
