About this house rental
Far from simply an ordinary vacation rental home, Gilligan’s Island is a veritable estate! With a main home and guest home totalling 10 bedrooms and 10 bath and accommodating up to 28, this compound is a perfect size for an extended family reunion, or several families travelling together.
The nearly modest exterior offers just the slightest hint of the amazing expanse of home and privacy fenced yard that awaits you! From the four levels of covered and furnished patios and decks on the main home to the built-in private pool, there are surprises at every turn at Gilligan’s Island. The green space beyond makes for the perfect corn-hole court, with the game already in place for guests.
The interior evokes the feeling of a New England summer, with classic whitewashed walls and colorful pops of ocean blue throughout. The large great room houses an intimate living space with large HDTV and dining space for the whole family with seating at two tables for up to 20, and an additional 4 at the kitchen island. A separate den/game room sits on the top level, with large sofas, two HDTVs, an air hockey table and additional game table, with a wet bar. Step outside and up the spiral staircase to take in the forever Gulf view from the 4th story viewing area with bench seat and 4 seat high top table.
The kitchen is equipped for a crowd, with dual stainless steel refrigerators and dishwashers. Other features here include a professional oven and large pantry.
From the second floor up to the top, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the Gulf sparkling just yards away.
The guest carriage house is a second fully-contained residence with living room and dining seating for 4, a galley style kitchen with full appliances in stainless steel and 2 ensuite bedrooms, one queen and 1 with a bunk set.

Our family of 18 stayed for a week at Gilligan’s Island, a vacation home managed by 30A Luxury Vacations. The home is spacious, well equipped and perfectly positioned for the beach or visits to the nearby commercial areas.

The house was good size for our family, but we had issues while there. The internet was down throughout the trip. The refrigerators in the main house need replacing as several shelves were missing. My son and his 7 month old fell to the ground when the swinging chair came out of the ceiling. The televisions were not all functioning and the Fuze ball table did not work. The staff was responsive, but there was only soo much that they could do. Again, we enjoyed the home and it was accomodated 24 of us, but it needs some TLC for the money spent.

All 29 of our family members showed up at Gilligan's Island with high hopes of a relaxing week (as relaxing as possible with 17 children of all ages!) It's a really nice property and had all the amenities as listed. We were missing some towels but the property manager brought them as soon as we called.
The positives were actually many!
The pool is nice and we liked how wide it was. We loved the cornhole set and the shady porch.
The bikes were a big hit and made it really easy to ride into Rosemary.
The beach was really nice and not too crowded.
(The walk to the beach is fairly quick but there's no shade and the traffic can be pretty steady so be careful!)
But we had our problems unfortunately...
The gas oven in the main house began leaking gas. We called the property manager and someone came to look. It required a repair that wasn't done while we were there. So, no oven or we had to go the carriage house and use that one.
The third day, we noticed the pool was looking dirty and murky. Someone came out who discovered that the pump wasn't functioning properly. We're pretty sure it had something to do with 4 ear aches among the kids - one ended up in a walk in clinic with a full blown ear infection. The others we treated with ear drops.
The wifi was hit or miss.
The power went out in the carriage house and set off the alarm at 3 a.m. It was a major repair...the electric wires had been installed improperly and we shudder to think the outdoor shower was close!
