The location was ok, and having a whole house was nice in terms of privacy. There is also a large patio area which is gated, which was good for storing our 4 mopeds. Large water supplied for arrival and great communication from the host. Great food spots on the main road just by the house. Plenty of towels and also basic shampoo and shower gel were available.

It didn't feel particularly clean. One room (the one I was in) smelled absolutely horrible with the smell coming from the bathroom. Potential backflow of the drain from other rooms or something but it smelled like sewage. There was also what I can only describe as black mould all over the ceiling, as well as in the bedroom. The windows rattle all night in the wind, whether opened, closed, or on the latch. The doors also don't seem to shut well, meaning you can hear everyone shutting bathroom doors throughout the night as you have to give them a shove! The beds were ok but mine was held up by bricks. Curtains also did nothing for keeping light out, and one wall had windows that had seemingly been covered in wallpaper, which also didn't stop light. Bring ear plugs and an eye mask! Overall it would be good for very large groups where all beds ar user but there are nicer alternatives. Gave student house vibes.
