Sterlogies City Penthouse

A pleasantly appointed, very clean and sufficiently spacious flat with a good number of windows in the central part of the town within walking distance from the train station. Looks cosy, the beds are quite comfortable. There is also a balcony with seating which we did not get the chance to try out.

The toilet is really tiny as a room for anyone older than say 5. The solution is either to engage in some acrobatics or keep the door open, none of which is ideal. Need to go to the bathroom to wash hands and that is not next door. There was an environmental tax, a fee for towels and a city tax which were charged extra. Ok about the need to pay those but why was not that included in the price from the beginning and avoid surprises? There are two steep and winding flights of stars to reach the flat which can be a problem for those with bulky / heavy luggage and sore knees. The hosts can send you messages really early (before 6 am) but expect to be reproached if you write to them before 9 am their time.

Hele kleine toilet! Als de deur dicht is kom je met je knieën tegen de deur. En wij zijn niet heel erg lang.

Centrale ligging

Communicatie met host was erg slecht. In 2024 gereserveerd en gekozen (tegen een meerprijs) voor later betalen. Totdat ik begin 2025 veel mailtjes kreeg met betaalverzoeken. De host gaf aan dat sinds 2025 de voorwaarden waren aangepast. Het prijsverschil hebben we niet teruggekregen. Daarnaast wordt er in de omschrijving benoemd dat er 2 grote bedden zijn. 1 bed is een kleine tweepersoons stretcher. Goed om te weten dus als je met 4 volwassenen reserveert! Tenslotte tocht het in de accommodatie; de sigarettenrook van buiten ruik je alsof je er zelf bij staat, + de ramen tochten.
