About this house rental
Welcome to Slaughter Beach! This is a charming beachfront cottage offers easy access to the beach. Complete with three bedrooms and one bathroom, beautiful light and open kitchen and living area with a separate dining space. This home features TV, WiFi, washer & dryer, and off street parking. Owners have some beach chairs and an umbrella available for use. Bring your kayaks, paddle board and bike! Property does not offer these items so don't forget them! Bay Avenue is a biking friendly quiet street. The back patio Adirondacks are perfect for enjoying the view of the bay during the warm summer evenings. Sleeps up to 6 guests and pets are always welcome.
We accept reservations on a "first come, first served" basis. Ideal Property Solutions handles multiple vacation properties throughout Delaware. During the busy spring and summer seasons, please allow 24-48 hours for a response.
Ideal Property Solutions accepts payment through VRBO/HomeAway. Deposits are due with your signed contract within 10 days of making your reservation (Half of the full balance due). Final Balance is due 30 days prior to check-in. Thank you!

Check In was simple and Easy. It was even better in person. Kitchen had all we needed and more. We loved the openness of the house and being able to see the water right out the living room. Loved the little deck area to watch sunrise every morning. We enjoyed walking along the beach searching for unique rocks . It wasn’t far from stores if we needed anything. Perfect Stay for our first trip to DE.

The location is perfect for a relaxing quiet beach getaway. Consistent with the information provided, the water in the bay is not pristine and the bottom is rocky and a little soft, so water shoes should be used. The interior of the home is well maintained and cozy, perfect for 2 couples plus a few more. The grounds were adequate for our purposes but the lawn was overgrown. The outdoor shower was an unexpected plus. Communication with the property manager was not good. VRBO messages regarding checkout went unanswered.

Future potential renters: This house is AMAZING! The moment we walked into this small but perfect home, our breath was taken away. You step in the door and look straight back through the full windowed back wall to see the Delaware Bay! We've been coming to Slaughter Beach for years and all agreed this would be our rental from here on out. However we did not have a good experience with communicating with the property management company.
The first day there we discovered the hot water heater wasn't working. It's one thing to have your breath taken away by a view. It's quite a different connotation when it's related to trying to take a shower and your "hot" water is room temperature at best. After two days of multiple texts and calls (most not responded to) we were told that they were having a hard time getting a plumber out to the house because it was a weekend. By this time we were leaving the next morning and had already been without showers for the majority of the stay. Despite being offered a partial refund we were very disappointed in not having hot water during our stay. Aren't the majority of the stays on weekends? What company wouldn't have a plumber on call for that?
