About this house rental
This house is 140 year old with most of the structure restored in its original condition and foundations have been worked on to hopefully give this old gem another decade of family memories. Come stay in your perfect home away from home with all extra accommodations for guests up to 11 in our 4 bedroom charm. Air mattress provided for guests if needed. We are happy to accept your pets for as long as they are trained and we do our best to keep the grass cut before guests stays for them to enjoy the fenced in backyard. There are baggies in the drawer so please pick up their business before leaving.
Upon arrival please use the private driveway to park. Combination lock will be provided prior to your stay.
Master bedroom has a private bathroom. 2 queen bed bedrooms and bunk bed room have a common bathroom with clawfoot tub and shower. All rooms have televisions with Hulu live tv and smart access movie options. Nov-2024 installed newest fire sticks and WIfi for fast streaming connections. The side door will be operated with your very own private code to enter. The front porch is a true southern staple to enjoy your coffee or afternoon breaks on the rocking chairs. Toiletry, Shampoo, Soaps will be provided. Extra Towels, Linens, Blankets are provided. There is a Washer and Dryer with detergent and cleaning supplies to use for all of our guests. The kitchen is fully stocked with essentials and checked/updated before each guest stay. The backyard is fenced in, and a BBQ with smoker and a large picnic table is there to enjoy in the privacy of the fenced in back yard.
Complimentary Coffee and a few snacks will be provided and available to you upon arrival to make your stay truly one that makes you feel at home.
Step outside to enjoy an outdoor campfire, private backyard with plenty of seating or walk 5 minutes and be in the midst of a quaint Antique shopping experience or a dine and wine enjoying a live band at roux & brew 7 days a week.
Downtown New Orleans is 45 min.

Our weekend stay was amazing, I can't say enough good things about it!! The hospitality was outstanding from the moment we arrived. This house is perfect for family gatherings! The only way it would be better was if it was in the woods so we could go camping there

What can I say but WOW!! From the minute I opened the door and looked inside this charming house I knew I made the right decision. This house is loaded to the max with anything you would need for your stay. It is so beautifully decorated and in a great neighborhood. Had no problem with neighbors or excessive noise. If we are we’ve in the area again we would definitely choose to stay here! Ponchatoula is a great little town with charming shops, nice antique stores and cutting edge places to dine. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable!!!! 10 out of 10 stars

We had an issue with the ice maker in the refrigerator, it didn’t work. The veggie drawer froze our fresh fruit and veggies costing us. Also, the dryer didn’t work at all so we had to go to a laundromat to dry our clothes. It couldn’t be replaced/repaired u til after our stay, the owner offered to dry our clothes but we were uncomfortable with that option. For the amount of money we paid, I expected no less than everything in working order. A little disappointed with this VRBO.
