Casa Edilia - Smack in the middle of town/one block from the beach

Great locations and a nice place!

House was exactly as advertised. It was comfortable, close to beach and town, had secure parking. We really enjoyed our week long stay and would stay here again.

The host gave clear directions on how to enter the house, we were appreciative of the two jugs of water and a bag of ice in the freezer. The location was great as far as being close to restaurants, and only a block from the beach. Lots of hot water nice fluffy towels for the bathroom as well as beach towels. And the host was very quick to respond to maintenance items that did arise.

Property is fine but made me think I just should have booked the hotel. I am surprised by all the great reviews. Everybody has different needs so I’ll list pros & cons & you can decide according to your group. Pros: location - walk to everything in town & easy walk to beach, separate private spaces for a group, nice outdoor area, beach towels & beach chairs for your use, AC in all rooms & nice pillows. Cons: The keys! On arrival you get a handful of unlabeled keys out of the lockbox, then you have to figure out which key goes to which door (3 doors). Then you have to make sure someone has the keys every time you leave (need a code entry lock on doors!) Location: in town on an alley, so it’s loud with street noise, barking dogs & the roosters crow all night, no window coverings except see through curtains making it hard to sleep, no lamps just overhead lighting so can’t relax & read in bed at night, old sheets and a small thin bed cover, only one set of towels per person (stayed a week), there is a washer & dryer but no detergent. If you don’t care about extra comforts & are just going to crash here after a day of all the adventures in LB it’s probably fine, but if you want a more relaxing, peaceful & clean space this is probably not the place!
