NEW - Les Carlinottes - Méribel - Au pied des pistes - Ski In-Ski Out

We enjoyed staying in this privately owned apartment, which has all the owners things in so has everything you need. Some personal belongings are therefore around too, but all was tidy and roomy. The location is excellent for the Ronde Point bar and bus stop, quick descent to Meribel Centre. Below the building are shops for ski hire, supermarket, bakery and a few nice restaurants. I loved the view over the valley from the balcony. We would stay here again.

Took us a little while to identify the building in the night time... but once we did all was fine in getting access. The 2nd bedroom is actually an extension of the living room so is great for opening up space in the daytime, but not good for sound exclusion whilst someone is in the kitchen. Neither of these things would put us off returning though.

The location of Les Carlinottes is absolutely perfect. Obviously Meribel is a superb resort, being in the middle of the world’s largest ski area. The apartment is so convenient, located just above everything you might need: a small Sherpa supermarket, several ski hire options, a gorgeous bakery/delicatessen and two restaurants. You literally put your skis on right across the road to join the piste and can almost ski right back, turning off just after the Rond Point apres bar. It really doesn’t get much better than this. And the free shuttle bus stops right outside too. Inside, it is clean, well kitted out and has a balcony with mountain views (see photo). There is a bath and a separate shower room. The smart tv has Netflix and a variety of other steaming services for logging into. It was perfectly spacious for a family of four by alpine standards and the cost I felt was quite reasonable compared to other places we’ve stayed previously. The owner was also very responsive and provided a great document of hints and recommendations. The building itself is clean, secure and with ski lockers at the door (not down into some basement like many others…). Thanks very much for a wonderful stay, it was a perfect base for us. We hope to be back one day!

Honestly, there was very little to dislike. The rooms are small but it is the Alps.
