Byoona Amagara at Lake Bunyonyi

An underrated spot perched on a tiny island, somewhere on the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi.

Fantastic food at the restaurant! Definitely try crayfish and eggplant. Great service and beautiful location for relax!

In case of rain it can get cold there and not so nice

Located on a secluded island, it is an exceptional, unique place where the biggest noise is made by birds. They offer a range of activities in order to keep the busy type entertained. Canoeing and hiking was fun. But so was starring at the lake from my dormitory. Although secluded, it is not hard to reach - by a boda boda from Kabale and a boat. Food - awesome!!! Local dishes prepared by unbeatable Betty, mostly vegetarian but there is also fish in the menu. Very very basic - all the facilities are ecological which means simple.

Simple might be found uncomfortable by some (but there are fancy resorts around)

Views from the rooms are lovely. Appreciated the attention to environmental principles. Staff very responsive.

Beds were uncomfortable, boat transport to/from the island isn't included, have to pay for "extras" (slice of lemon in a drink, milk w/coffee etc)
