Beautiful oceanfront home accessible by 4 x 4 vehicle only! This home sits on a corner lot and offers direct beach access with beautiful ocean views. Approximately 9.3 miles up the beach, this home is packed with amenities that will please the entire family!
Ground Level: Exterior amenities include a fully gated private pool, path over the dune to access the beach, charcoal park style grill and an enclosed outside shower. Entry Level, inside you'll find the laundry room with washer, dryer and full size refrigerator.
Mid Level: Den with TV/DVD, Queen Sleep Sofa, pool table, deck access, game table seating 4 and ocean views. King Master Bedroom with deck access, Queen Master Bedroom with TV/DVD and deck access and a Queen Bedroom that shares a full hall bathroom with a Bedroom with a Full Bed and Bunk Set . The hot tub is on the deck.

Pool can be heated for an additional fee of $450 (plus tax). Pool temperatures vary in degree of warmth and temperature cannot be guaranteed. Pool heaters typically heat the pool 10 degrees above ambient air temperature. Refunds will not be issued due to inclement weather or pool temperature.
Linens and towels provided at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep sofas, top bunks and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.
4-WD REQUIRED - This home is only accessible by high clearance Four-Wheel-Drive vehicles such as a Jeep Cherokee, Ford Explorer, etc. You will be driving on the beach, over dune lines and in soft sand.
Carova Beach is convenient for families with children and older folks because it is not necessary to walk to the beach. A walk over the dune or a 30 second drive in your four wheel drive vehicle brings you out to the beach where you can park right on the beach and enjoy the luxury of having all your beach goodies at your fingertips and enjoy the day! Wild horses roam the area as well as fox, deer, and lots of waterfowl on the sound.
Beach Parking Passes are required to park on the beach from the last Saturday in April through the first Saturday in October. You do not need a pass to drive on the beach or park at the home. Two 4x4 parking passes are included with each 4x4 vacation home with a $50 cash deposit (refunded when passes are returned). Passes can be picked up at our Corolla Office (1023 Ocean Trail) during business hours. If more than two passes are needed, there are a limited number of additional available parking passes each week that can be purchased from Currituck County. The cost for a 4x4 parking pass is $50 and can be purchased online, but has to be picked up in person at the Corolla Visitor Center. Please double check Corolla Visitor Center business hours when planning your trip.

Easy beach access, beautiful pool, terrible sewer problems, had to plug toilets in 2 bathrooms and very slow drains in shower/ tubs. A lot of nails lifted on all decking levels, went around and nailed in, sliding doors had trouble locking, we added safety licks on 2 of them. Main refrigerator smelled badly of fish, we added a baking soda box and cleaned with Clorox spray. Also cleaned out washing machine, all gummed up with old liquid detergent, wouldn’t wash a dog/cat blanket! And lastly, the door that we entered house thru was very loose sealing and not very comforting for break-in.

The property’s location and layout were very good. The interior was in good condition but the exterior requires significant maintenance.

When we first arrived the property was not cleaned, it had been forgotten. After an email the property was cleaned the next morning. Overall our family’s vacation was spectacular with no complaints, it was ocean front, as advertised and in the best condition as advertised. We were very happy when all was said and done.

Lots of things were not working. Included beach chairs were not available. They did respond and came to fix the day before we were leaving. So that didn’t help us at all. Very disappointing
