Charming Great Diamond Island Cottage w/Waterviews - Bus. Lic.# STHR-003849-2021

We loved our time at this lovely cottage in Great Diamond Island! The house is super cute and comfy and stocked with plenty of towels, cookware, board games, etc. There is a short path leading from the house to the waterfront, and we spent many hours skipping rocks and exploring the shore. GDI is small but has a great community feel. There is a small shop down the road, only open for a couple of hours each day, with candy and pop and some GDI apparel. We rented a golf cart from a man down the road from the cottage, and used it to explore the island a bit more, including venturing to the other side of the island and visiting the Crown Jewel restaurant which is wonderful! We have little kids so we needed a golf cart to get around, but without kids we probably could have walked to the Crown Jewel (although it would have taken maybe 30-40 minutes?). Most people on the island seem to travel by golf cart. We had a great visit and hope to return!!

We recently stayed at this lovely vacation home and had a wonderful experience. The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and offered an ocean view that made our stay extra enjoyable.The location was perfect for exploring the Casco Bay Islands, providing easy access to ferries and allowing us to visit several islands during our trip.While we had a few minor issues, they didn’t overshadow our overall experience. Upon arrival, there was some miscommunication about getting our belongings to the house, and the refrigerator hadn’t been cleaned out before we arrived, which required immediate attention. Additionally, we didn’t expect the neighboring house behind the rental property, which did affect the level of privacy, though it wasn’t a major concern.The back office area, located off the bedrooms and connected by French doors, lacked both privacy and light control, which impacted the comfort of the bedrooms. Similarly, the bathrooms could benefit from curtains or shades for added privacy.That said, we were impressed by how responsive the owners were when we reached out to them.Overall, despite these small inconveniences, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this vacation home for its beauty, location, and easy access to the Casco Bay Islands

Perfect family week!!! Beautiful cottage! Wonderfully decorated and appointed with everything you could possibly need. Dinners on the porch… jumping off the dock… ferry rides to different destinations! Golf cart rental was perfect! Sea Glass Heaven!!! Book this cottage! Communication with the owner was excellent too!! Like I said..MAGICAL ISLAND AND COTTAGE!!!!
