The Charpentier House in Historical Downtown Lake Charles

This place was clean, spacious and convenient to downtown restaurants, shops and the lakefront. It’s my second time staying in this place and I would definitely recommend it to others.

The place was nice, clean and spacious. It was in a great location. The host provided clear and detailed instructions for check in and check out. I would definitely suggest this place to others.

We came for Smoke and Barrell Fest and the location was perfect. Walking distance to some great bars and restaurants. The house was perfect for the 3 couples. Definitely worth the stay if you want to experience downtown Lake Charles.

Home was nice and clean but unfinished . Several rooms without any window coverings . The neighborhood is very run down and felt semi unsafe. There is an adjoining unit that had old tires , a bumper , an old mattress etc on the back patio which we had to look at for our view along with abandoned run down homes. Directly across the street is low income apartments . If you’re planning on staying inside the entire time you will be fine as long as you bring blankets to hang over the windows that had no blinds . The host is very sweet and I’m sure once he gets the unit finished and the surrounding area possibly improves it would be a nice place to stay . It is a short walk to downtown but there is nothing really open to do with the exception of Lunas that was a fun spot ! I wish them luck with this property.
