Perfect hostel — clean, great people, and amazing views. I loved starting my mornings with a cup of coffee and breakfast in the garden, soaking in the incredible scenery.
Location — it’s quite far from Chamonix city center (around a 20–25 minute walk) and there’s no convenient bus connection.

Friendly polite host. Whole hostel thoroughly cleaned every morning. Lots of hot water. Well stocked kitchen.

Good location, a little bit over 1 km walking from Sud. Less than 5 minutes walk from good supermarket and bakery.
I was happy to get a locker in the dorm room so that I could lock my more valuable items there when I was away and for the night. Kitched had fridges and I think a freezer too, free cereals and instant coffee was provided, and also the food left by previous visitors for common consumption was useful (butter, jam etc). It was mostly quite quiet in the dorm.
The check-in policy is quite strict, as people often need to deal with late transportation when arriving.
Especially when I received a message that check-in limit for dorm is 21:00. The message arrived half an hour before the deadline. Well, I got in anyway although missing this deadline a bit. In the rare occasion that someone did make noise in the dorms, it was heard everywhere. There was no general "hang-around" area, which would have been nice on some occasions.

Well organised hostel, spacious bedroom (mixed dormitory) with enough space between beds and separations. It wasn't full, and apparently the top bunks are not usually rented out, which makes this comfortable.
The mattress had a bit of a plastic feel but overall the bed was comfortable. It is a 20 min fast walk to the centre of the town, but there is a local shop which helps.
