This is a very cost effective way to visit Chamonix. A lovely stay despite the unisex bathrooms!

There was no breakfast supplied that I was made aware of! I was told to go to the supermarket and buy my food. I liked the hostel. It was clean and spacious, and the manager was very helpful. The kitchen was well appointed although some instructions on using the stoves would be helpful. The location is also very close to the supermarket and pharmacy.

Unisex bathrooms . I didnt like that at all. I would also have appreciated some notes on how to get there from the bus depot. I got off at the bus station and as the hostel is 1km away and I had luggage and was tired I would have liked some info on how to get there on the number 2 bus, where to catch it and how often if ran and where to get off. I ended up walking all the way with my suitcase.

Would stay again

Lovely family run hostel, very friendly hosts. Clean and tidy rooms, ample bathrooms/showers, clean kitchen, ample outdoor areas. Location is 15 minutes walk from bus station but 30 minutes into town. There is a supermarket and bakery 5 minutes walk away otherwise no restaurants nearby especially if arriving late. Luggage storage 5 or 3 euro/day was very handy. Often have free coffee and baked goods. Laundry- 5 euro/wash then line dry

Nice budget option for travellers

The hostel is really clean, and location is nice - just 30 min by walk from the center. Plus it provides a guest card which gives really nice bonuses for tourists for the public transport! Absolutely good choice for this money. The area around is beautiful and quiet, but still there is a shop, some bars and a station quite close.

Nothing special. The only thing is that in our room there was not too many sockets for chargers, but still was manageable.

I recommend this hotel

Good location – the city center is 15 minutes away on foot, and it's close to a bus stop and a supermarket. The room, toilet, and kitchen were clean. The hotel offers good value for money.

Amazing value

The people working there are so lovely. Everything was SO clean! The beds were comfortable enough and the 6 bed rooms were really 3 bed rooms because they only put people on lower bunks. The kitchen was always clean and fully equipped, and even had sharp enough knives to be able to cook a full meal!

I guess it would've been nice to have more outlets. But it wasn't really a big issue with just three people in the dorm.

I enjoyed the laid back friendly atmosphere. There's a backyard with a fantastic view. The rooms themselves are a bit basic, but you will probably spend most of your time outside anyway :)

First time staying in a shared hostel room, and it was a nice experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, the shared facilities spotless, and value for money incredible.

It's a bit of a walk from town, but doable, the rooms were a bit narrow, lack of plug sockets, and no individual lights by the bed.

Very clean hostel style accomodation for a reasonable price

Very clean place, where we only stayed one night, on our way to our main destination. We had a four bed room (with 6 beds) and toilets and showers just outside the room. Kitchen was some metres away. There is a supermarket within a couple of minutes walk, where you can buy breakfast and then store it in baskets in the kitchen.

The restaurant was closed and did not serve breakfast when we visited. It would have been so nice if the restaurant had served some easy food, beer and also an easy breakfast with porridge, bread and jam. We found parking, but it was a bit tricky, since you are not allowed to park on the streets around.
