Not a good vibe

The room looked clean and was well presented

Our arrival, after a 12 hour journey, was to be ignored as we hadn't noted that we must present ourselves at the front door. Having been berated by the host for this failure we were shown to a compact room. The room was by the front door and was within the house, not private at all as the open lounge door and stairway made you feel as if you were intruding on the rest of the house. We discovered that only a shower and sink were within the room. The toilet was in the hallway and was shared by the householders. We decided not to stay, purely due to the unwelcome reception, lack of privacy and general uncomfortable vibe.

Ideal location for a stopover on a long journey into France.

Room was pleasant and well equipped. Comfortable bed. Host very helpful and friendly - recommended an excellent restaurant (Au Boeuf Qui Rit) and booked us a table. Good drink making facilities available in the room.

WC was separate from bedroom - only just outside but very slightly inconvenient!

The room was comfortable and the host were friendly

The hosts were uninvolved, they did not check in with us to replace new coffee or tea, they were mostly out. We only had coffee for our first day- the water provided tasted very strange so we did not drink that- it was provided in a jar. They have a dog and a pig and it was not always that hygienic as there was a lot of droppings outside on the way to the car. The room was comfortable but there were a few cobwebs and it did not feel if they made an effort to prepare for us as guests. We only stayed for two nights in stead of three nights.

Convenient, comfortable and affable environment

Location was ideal for my travel plans. Had it been in summer, it would have been even more perfect owing to the water facilities available. The parking behind locked gates was also an advantage.

A wonderful surprise, a real oasis getaway from a long journey. A great find and a super experience

The breakfast was exceptional. The grounds of the house were fantastic - a lake, swimming pool, relaxing areas and hot tub. The pet pig, goats and a dog added to the experience . There was a welcome drink and we enjoyed time with the hosts who were excellent.

A Belgian paradise

This is my second stay in this place, a month after my first stay. I can only reiterate my first review, but before doing so will add that this time I also booked the breakfast (for 8 Euro) - and can't recommend it enough. It was, fresh, huge, superb and amazing value for the money. My previous review: This is a truly special place with a truly special host. The room and the bathroom are spacious, modern and clean. The private bathroom was located outside my room, but one step away from it. Rooms are located at the second floor of a private house, but privacy and quiet atmosphere are guaranteed. The facilities are as described - and they are truly exceptional for what you expect to see in a B&B. I only stayed there for one night but can easily imagine spending more than a few days there, as a holiday in itself. Lastly, Eric, the owner, was extremely kind, generous, and accommodating. I highly recommend this place and hope to visit there again soon.

This is a family home with rooms for rent. The house is modern and very clean. The garden is amazing. What seems like a city house has a swimming pool, jacuzzi and a lake (for swimming and boating)! As well as a very cool pet pig!

Incredible facilities in beautiful, comfortable home.

Incredible home, garden and grounds. We enjoyed a swim in the pool (and the lake). Very friendly, welcoming host family including pets. Car parked securely. Comfortable and very well equipped room and private bathroom. Truly excellent!

Amazing hidden treasure at Eric and Celine

Everything was amazing! We can't describe what an amazing, hidden treasure O'Berges D'Astacus is! The pool, the private beach, Eric and Celine and ofcourse their amazing animals. They even have 2 baby goats!! We felt so welcome and we were sad to leave the place. This was such a great suprise and we can't wait to return back. Tip, book the breakfast :).

We spent a night here after a day in PAIRIDAIZA. It is 30 min drive from the zoo. Before booking I red the reviews and all of them were excellent. We arrived like 7pm, we were welcomed by the owner, very friendly young man. He explained everything about the room and the property. Because we needed a place to have dinner in a matter of seconds we reserved for us a table in a restaurant although it was Saturday evening and the restaurant was fully booked. The room we had was very cozy,stylish decorated, with everything that is needed for our stay. Towels, bed sheets, shampoo, soap-everything was provided. The breakfast was one of a kind-plenty of food,prepared with love,in the living room of the house. The interior is very modern ,stylish and we really felt that we know each other since years. It is pity that the weather was cold so we couldn't use the pool or the jacuzzi but the view is amazing. Defenetly we are going back again. And I will recommend it for you. Everything was perfect. We are very pleased and happy to meet such wonderful people and they to be our hosts. Thank you very much for your hospitality 🥰🥰🥰🥰
