Stunning Sunsets and Oceanview's at Paki Maui

The ocean view was exceptional. The parking and location was very good.

The biggest complaint was the lack of adequate kitchen supplies. Mismatched silverware that was very flimsy, knives that were as sharp as a butter knife and really unusable, only 2 coffee mugs, lack of utensils for cooking and barbecuing, etc. We rented this condo for about $300 a night and all of these inadequate kitchen essentials could be purchased for under $100 at Ross. We have better kitchen gear when we go camping. The beach chairs that were provided were falling apart and there were only two chairs to sit at the table which is crowded onto the lanai. The overall decor was a mishmash of old, tired, stuff that was either purchased at a garage sale or left by the death of someone’s grandma. The patio table was heavily stained and pretty disgusting. Finally, there was a really odd door to the bedroom that does not open all the way. It seemed to always be in the way. As you can see we will cross of the Paki Maui off our future choices of condos in Maui.

The Paki Maui is located in the perfect location for us…in the village of Honokawai, where small shops, restaurants and even a food truck park are in walking distance. Condo 209 was well appointed, and nothing compares to its ocean view. It’s on the west coast of Maui so nightly sunsets are spectacular. King size bed, sofabefd, large fridge, blender, elevator, 2 tvs, and beach chairs, umbrella and other supplies. The isn’t a swimmable beach within walking distance, although I watched several young people climb over the smooth reefs right in front to do some snorkeling. We drove about 5 minutes south, past the Westin resort, to the public ‘Airport’ beach which always had great snorkeling, swimming and free parking.

There was an ongoing plumbing project going on throughout our stay. Minimal impact. Getting down to walk on the beach was difficult.

Unit was clean, quiet, ocean view

The unit did not have air conditioning. Even though there were fans, it was not enough. Very hot sleeping as well. This was in end of October but about 80 during the day. Probably wouldn't stay there again.

I liked the proximity and access to the beach, pool, and the free parking.
