Sunnyside - Large Seaside Home with views and Hot Tub

The location was perfect. We really loved using the hot tub too, such a good addition to a holiday home. Both showers were great. WiFi was perfect.

The third double bedroom just wasn’t big enough for 2 of us, not much room to get ready or even keep all our toiletries in the room. The Tv is so small for such a big lounge and I think you’re missing a trick not having an air fryer. Would have made our cooking a lot simpler. The bigger couch was also quite stained. I also assumed there was parking on the large drive, I originally cancelled another place and booked this one for the parking as we had 4 cars but there wasn’t. Street parking was fine and we didn’t have a problem but I wish things were made clearer on sites like this. The property overall just felt like it was too small for our group of 7 adults, 2 small children and our dogs. Maybe that was my fault though.

The property owner Andy was so helpful from when we booked up until the day we checked in. The property was very spacious and everything to hand. There were a few issues on arrival however Andy replied to messages very quickly and were resolved.

The photographs make the rooms look bigger than they actually are, however we’re still big enough for 11 adults.

The conservatory, dining room, and garden are lovely to relax in. The location is great, just a 2 minute drive away from everything.

There is a lot of upkeep needed on the house. The oven doesn't work properly, the lock came off the bathroom door, the wallpaper is hanging off in a lot of rooms as well as the paint being scratched off. There were oven gloves provided but they were as good as useless as thr heat went through which means we had to buy our own. The beds were really poor quality, 5 of the beds were broken in some way and the rest were extremely uncomfortable with springs sticking out. The balcony being out of use should have been advertised at the point of booking as this was a key reason for booking the property. A lot of thr chairs are ripped or broken. The bedrooms are not as advertised with multiple beds being small camping beds and one of the rooms being picuted twice as multiple double rooms even though it is instead a twin room. The shower downstairs when the detachable head is turned on shoots up to the ceiling and soaks the bathroom. In general, there is a lot of uncleanliness, such as two pairs of boxers being found in the bed and large cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, and the rug and sofa being stained. The house is advertised as child and pet friendly, however, there are no safety locks on the windows and there was heatwave where the windows had to stay shut due to a 2 year old being in the house. Additionally, there is no gate separating the front and back garden making it not friendly for a toddler as well as the front gate being broken. Also, most of the doors in the house don't shut and there are niknaks in a lot of the drawers so cannot be used.
