The location was superb. Easy access to the beach. We managed to walk to the Ao Nang Landmark Night Market from the hotel which is about 2.5km. Shops & restaurants just by the road side along the road. They have in house laundry which is one of the cheapest rate in the area. 50baht/kg

We request to clean up the room but only give bottle of water. No change of the towels. The balcony directly facing to the next building's corridor/walkway which makes it less privacy.

Off the street. Very friendly staff. Two friendly cats.

Must provide own tea/coffee otherwise why have a jug in the room?

So it's not all negative - Firstly - the lovely lady who sits out the front on the tour desk, she is great. Very friendly and gave me good prices on all the tours I wanted to do. Despite the awful rain, she helped me plan my days to avoid the rain, and all her help was so valuable. I dodged the rain on all the tours I took. The location is great - a few minutes walk down the Main Street straight onto the beach, where the big fire show happens at 6:15pm each night. Plenty of bars, restaurants and shops very close by, yet no loud noises in the night. The rooms are a good size, and it is lovely to have a balcony big enough for a proper table and chairs. I didn't have the breakfast but have been told it was great. Walking to the Monkey Trail and Monkey Beach is so close. Also just walk to end of street to get boat to Railay - the location is great. I also walked all the way to Landmark night market - it took about 40 minutes. But obviously can take a Grab or whatever.

Unfortunately - so many things let this place down for me. The cleaning staff were actively trying to not clean my room. I was in my room (it was raining), and I saw the cleaners in the room next door, so I put the clean my room sign on my door and went to sit in reception to give them space and time to clean - came back, and they had just hung a bag on my door with fresh water and toilet roll. The same thing the next day, they just didn't clean at all - so I asked at reception and she did send the cleaners eventually. The bathroom was horrible. It's just a giant wet room with the oldest shower which has zero pressure. I didn't feel clean once while here. Also the bathroom door is extremely low. I smacked my head so many times forgetting to duck to step a foot down into the bathroom from the bedroom. Very random and strange. The balcony is great however just stares straight across into the hostel opposite. So a constant stream of hostel guests walking essentially past your balcony. And the balconies do not offer any privacy - you can literally see into the next room very easily - without trying - you kind of have to sit facing the hostel to avoid feeling like you're invading next door's privacy.
