We are so excited to share this house with you! We have made sure it is stocked with everything you need for an enjoyable stay in Cripple Creek.
This original log cabin survived the great fire of 1896 as did the unrestored cabin in the back yard.
Bishops cabin has been renovated through the years and now offers 21st century amenities in a cozy rustic setting. Beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture and great new beds.
Within walking distance to downtown Cripple Creek, enjoy the Butte Theater Opera House and unique shopping experiences, restaurants, gambling and Museums.
Take a tour of the fabled Mollie Kathleen Gold mine, a train ride back in history or tour active Gold mining operation which stilll produces millions of dollars worth of gold every year, located just 6 miles near historic Victor Colorado.
You and your kids will love feeding our herd of friendly donkeys descendants of the original “Rocky Mountain Canaries” which worked the mines at the turn of the century.
We are also close to fishing, hiking, biking trails, skiing and snowshoeing!
There are many activities and festivities for the entire family to enjoy throughout the year. Ice festival, Donkey Derby Days, Fireworks, Rodeo, Veterans Motorcycle Rally, madam Pearl Devere Day, Art, Gem and Mineral shows, Fall Festival, Ghostly gathering, and Gold camp Christmas. And all just within walking distance.

If you are deciding between this and another property, CHOOSE THIS ONE! Everything was not just clean, but perfect. It was exactly how you would want a rental house to be. Beds were comfortable, decor was top notch, amenities-they had everything you would need, so if you forgot something, they most likely have it, if not, there are a couple of stores just blocks away. 3 person reclining sofa, & a redlining chair, hot tub was very clean and in perfect working order. Kitchen was immaculate (dishwasher) , everything extra you need, pots/pans, can opener, extra spices, EVERYTHING! Ceiling fans in almost every room-this was a life saver for us! There were extra very soft blankets, pillows, & table fans. The TV had Dish Network, which we rarely used but was nice to have. Dishes were matching, things you would have in your home, not what you would normally find in a rental. It was how I would want a rental to be (but they rarely are). Check in was flawless, the owners checked in to make sure everything was good, they were immediately responsive and communication was easy throughout the stay, even though we had no issues. I cannot think of anything we needed and didn’t find, they even left chocolates for us would 1000% book again! We also got to see the donkeys, visited local historic (there are many) sites/museums. Perfect mountain getaway! I cannot state enough how perfect this well taken care of cabin is, and they care about their guests. This was truly the perfect stay!

Debbie always went above and beyond for all our requests. Home was perfect and very relaxing! Home was very organized and we had a very relaxing time while there!! Look forward to visiting again!!

Absolutely wonderful and welcoming place to stay! Very clean and the Hosts were very helpful and quick in communication. Quiet place and within walking distance of several restaurants. Highly recommend for anyone staying in the Cripple Creek area!

We enjoyed our stay here. It was was clean and had everything thing we needed and then some. The cabin is very warm and welcoming, had lots of info on things to do in the area and decor to match the towns history.
