Quinta do Ribeiro is a local accommodation that originally had a family home dating from the beginning of the 20th century. Pool was chilly but that was expected given its March. House and grounds are beautiful. Kitchen could be better stocked but we got by just fine.

The property was beautiful and had all the amenities listed, though the hot tub was indoors (inside the bathroom) and not outside, as can be seen from the listing’s photos.As it says in the listing, there is only one bathroom, and it is on the main floor. The master bedroom is on the 2nd floor, which makes it somewhat inconvenient if one must use the washroom at night. This is a minor inconvenience, however. This property would be ideal for a family or a couple of families, as it has plenty of room, especially outside. The summer would also be best to go, since the pool and outdoor spaces would be more usable owing to the higher temperatures. Finally, Communication with the owners was very friendly, quick, and helpful. They were able to accommodate a special request I made of them and went above and beyond what I asked for. They say they want to help you have a pleasant stay, and I believe they really mean it. All in all this was a very wonderful property to stay in. I would certainly return.

Stay was enjoyable , but feel it would not be adequate for 6 people due to only 1 bathroom and positioning of the bedroom's. When we had any concerns they were answered immediately via ‘whatsapp’ . Whilst there we did clean the pool ourselves. The route in from the North takes you over a very small bridge i drive a ford Kuga and the sensors were going all round. I advise ignoring the sat nav first turn point and take the second. Roads to the villa are very steep and narrow. We drove from Bilbao and the route was very easy with very little traffic all the way down. Steep roads out from villa so youngsters may struggle with walking.

Well maintained property by couple who clearly have pride and love for the place. Secluded and picturesque. A perfect place to stay to make memories as a family.
