About this house rental
Once you step into Island Girl, you will be amazed by this bright and cheery updated home with 4 bedrooms and ensuite baths, beds for 10. Enjoy the great sights and sounds of the waves crashing, palms swaying and dunes waving from the many views from the house. The fully furnished and well-equipped kitchen is the center of the room. Bar with 6 stools affords plenty of space for casual dining or meal preparation. Or if you want the whole family to sit together, the dining room table seats 8 with plenty of space. Relax in the comfy living area on sofa, or one of the plush side chairs. Room is complete with floor lamps, 55” flat screen tv with sound bar.
For those that want to “disconnect” enjoy the charming game room located off the living area, where you put together a puzzle or play a board game surrounded by bead board. On the main floor are also a Master King suite with tub/shower combo bath, and a Queen suite with walk in shower ensuite. From the game room, you can ascend the coolest stairs on the Peninsula - ship's stairs, like those featured on various HGTV shows! These alternating tread stairs lead directly to the 3rd floor Master King suite. This uber private space includes a walk in shower ensuite, recliner, Keurig coffee bar, and mini fridge. The other ensuite bedroom featuring king-sized bed, recliner, walk in shower. Revel in the spectacular sunrises while you sip coffee from this suite's private deck, accessible from the suite or via exterior stairs. The 4th bedroom, with a private entrance, is located on the ground level. This spacious room (central air/heat) has 2 queen sized-beds, and large walk-in shower. As if this was not enough, enjoy dining alfresco at the 12 foot table on upper deck complete with deck chairs. Relax in the breeze downstairs while you bbq, and take advantage of the additional full-sized refrigerator located in the garage.
What could be better than cooling off after a long day in the sun in the POOL!?? Adjacent to Island Girl is Singing Sands' subdivision large swimming pool, $100 usage fee for your stay. With high speed internet, and flat screen, Smart TVS in main room, and all bedrooms, there is not much that one could want, except a cargo lift which goes to all floors. Island Girl has whole-house generator, so no need to worry about power interruptions! No need to pack beach chairs (4) or beach cart as that is provided for you! Also provided are high quality organic shampoo, conditioner and body products in all bathrooms. High chair and play pen available. Dog crate with with pad available, too. No need to board your dog as no more than two dogs are allowed with $185 fee per dog. Our overall stay was great! Check-in and check-out went smooth. Instruction were clear and easy to follow. Enjoyed having the lift as we had so much stuff to bring up. The price was a bit steep to use the lift but came in handy. The house had plenty of room for the entire family to move around and have their own space. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of pillows. The AC worked great and we stayed nice and cool at night. LOVED that all rooms had their own bathrooms so no sharing!!! Kitchen had all cooking pots pans bowls dishes and spices. Bring your own coffee, cream and sugar. We like that there was a washer and dryer, but had to run cycle twice as the laundry pods didn't dissolve during first wash. Found that it's best to wash in heavy load mode in order for pods to dissolve.Loved the fact that the garage area was usable to store our items and place our rented golf cart inside for safety. The extra fridge space also came in handy. They had extra beach item that we could use as well. I know owner has no control over other rentals around you so only complaint was they were so loud with music and people talking way past 1am. Only other thing was the shower dispensers were empty. Though I always bring my own shampoo, conditioner and body wash that was a plus when I saw they had some in the showers so just have back up plan.Final thing make sure to read over pricing and fees if booking with VRBO as they don't always match what owner charges

I’m fairly particular about cleanliness of Vrbos and make a concerted effort to book homes with consistent five stars for cleanliness and reviews where cleanliness is emphasized. With that being said, I was disappointed to find upon arrival the stairwell caked in dried bird feces. The dishes were put back dirty. The coffee maker was covered in mold and we were unable to clean it to the point that the coffee we made did not taste like mold. The extra white blankets in the master bedroom that my three year old grabbed to snuggle up with had urine stains on them. The chairs, rug, and throw pillows in the living room were so heavily stained we didn’t really want to sit on them or have our eleven month old crawl on it. Several of the doors were broken or would jam easily and the dishwasher was broken (which the owner made serval attempts to fix). The garage door would not open with the opener or keypad. Overall a nice house with three essentially private suites with a great fenced in yard and some nice amenities for the beach. It’s a beach house and stains happen. If stains on furniture bother you, I would consider elsewhere.
