About this apartment rental
Our orange coloured Faro (means Lighthouse) Suite is an individual casa that stands out like a beacon at La Esquina Perezosa. Two stories of indoor living (1,200 square feet) with a 360-degree rooftop deck that has unparalleled views of the inland lush jungle and the ocean. Sea breezes keep the rooms cool and fresh in this charming and private retreat -- in a quiet and safe neighbourhood. The kitchen level connects to a second outdoor patio as well that has been recently refurnished. Long-term rentals here are 30+ days.
The Faro Suite is accessed through the main floor of the property and up a charming set of stairs. The main floor also provides access to a locked storage bodega for the entire property and our trusted house manager, maintenance and housekeeper. Your suite has secure, and different locks from the main floor entrance.
Please also note that the spiral staircase to the rooftop deck require careful attention, but it's worth it once you get up there!
NEW remote working options. There is a work appropriate sideboard in the kitchen and a folding table and desk chair can be provided for use on the bedroom level upon asking.
NEW redecorated master bedroom with King size bed (or two twins) with new 100% cotton 300 thread count bed linens and plush bath towels.
NEW self-laundry access at the neighbouring house can be arranged for additional, small monthly fee.
NEW addition kitchen amenities, new pots and pans, new high quality cutlery and dishes and a giant, full size fridge and freezer.
During certain times of the year, we recommend insect repellent for 'no-see-um' bug bites that can sometimes occur on the public beach and any stray mosquitos or the like.
April 2025 - new fiber internet and wifi service. This service is less susceptible to outages than the previous Telmex service.
April 2025 - please note: nearby construction, with attendant noise, may take place at some time during your stay. We have not been provided with a schedule for this- it may happen during your stay, it may not. Mexican law allows this activity. If you want more information, please send us an Inquiry message. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location...swimmable, sandy beach a few steps away. The property manager was easy to contact if there were any problems and the place was clean. Unit could benifit from some upkeep as it appears to be poorly maintained. The entrance to the unit is a little off putting as it is through a basement storage area with concrete in need of patching on the walls and ceiling. The stairs up to the unit are narrow and could use paint and patching. There is construction...a LOT of construction. When they aren't using power tools it isn't too bad... There are more stairs to the bedroom...again narrow and steep. The unit itself is nice but more basic than it appears in the photos. It could be so much more. There are 3 different balconies or terraces... The roof one has an incredible view but the stairs are so narrow, steep and winding that we didn't use it.... The large main deck has patio furniture and was nice to sit out on. Again the finishes could use some basic upkeep. There were only a few staples available in the kitchen.... cooking oil, a couple of hot sauces and garlic salt and pepper...it would be nice to have a few more staples available on arrival. The microwave screams when it is used... The swimming pool is really a dipping pool, but clean and wonderful to cool off in. Ask for 2 sets of keys because if someone goes out the other person can't leave as the gates and doors are key in and key out.

The Faro house is a remarkable home with exquisite views of the ocean, mountains and town. The bed is very comfortable, and the living room couch also makes into a lovely queen size bed, on a separate floor from the main bedroom, with its own half bath. The kitchen has everything we need, with a breakfast bar for 2, and ample seating on the adjoining patio, for more to sit down for a meal. Just outside the door is the beautiful blue ocean. How lovely, to swim and sun each day right outside our vacation rental! It’s a short walk to shops and restaurants, through a town that is charming and quiet, compared to nearby Guayabitos.Host Jennifer and House Manager Ana are lovely to work with. Attentive to our needs and genuinely welcoming. Love this place. We will back next year!

We enjoyed the spaciousness of the home, the proximity to the beach, the sounds of the surf, the views, and also the hospitality, helpfulness, friendliness, and kind attention of Ana, our hostess.
