Gorgeous Ocean View, Comfortable Cool Elevation, Close to Everything!

Clean, quiet and a central location with beautiful sunset views. The perfect elevation for day time sun and cooler evenings for sleeping. AC is not needed. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The owner was prompt to answer any questions and friendly.

We had an awesome trip to Kona and a great stay at the Blue Marlin Lodge. A beautiful home with a beautiful view. The house was very clean and well appointed from plenty of extra linens, to kitchen supplies and comfortable furniture/bedding. Shawn and Kimberly truly go above and beyond to make sure you have what you need for your stay. We arrived and found a plethora of brand new baby and kid items which made the stay with our 4 and 1 year old nephews that much nicer. Activities and beaches were all a quick drive and the home came with lots of great beach gear (pop-up shelter, beach wagon, rolling cooler, boogie boards, towels and snorkeling gear). Don’t forget about the neighbor’s goats and cow in the surrounding yard - our kids loved feeding them fresh papaya from one of the many papaya trees on the property. The hosts even left some hay for the kids to feed them. Check in was a breeze. The hosts reached out and let us know we could check in early since the house was ready. When we arrived the house was open with fans going and windows open…felt like we were checking into a nice hotel :) Check out was also great. Our flights were delayed for several hours and the hosts graciously allowed us to take our time checking out that day. We cleaned up like we would our own home (excluding scrubbing bathrooms and doing the laundry) and were refunded our cleaning fee. I’m sure I’m leaving off a lot of other great things, but you get it - this is a great place to stay! Thank you Shawn and Kimberly! We’d come back again for sure.

This was a beautiful house located an easy drive from downtown Kona and the beaches north of Kona. My three kids loved the bunk room and the two other bedrooms were very comfortable. The house was clean and looked brand new.

What a great property! The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do on the west side of the island (including Mauna Kea). For our group of 7 adults, we had plenty of space. The house is well furnished (especially the kitchen, with just about every random thing you might possibly need). The view over the ocean is beautiful and yes, there are goats that you can feed! :) Shawn and Kim were so kind with a few personal surprises that we really appreciated. We would definitely stay again!

Out of all the places I’ve stayed in when visiting Kona, this has been my absolute favorite! It was clean, spacious, new, relaxing, and welcoming. Captain Sean was very quick to respond and provided some treats for us when we arrived. I hope this place is available when we return next year.

We enjoyed our stay with our family of five for a long weekend. Eating fresh papayas and getting to feed some to the goats and a cow were an added bonus to staying in this very well equipped, clean, comfortable and beautiful home. Beautiful sunset views were pretty awesome as well. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood close to town. We really enjoyed our stay!

The owners of this property, Shawn and Kimberly are so kind and accommodating. The property was immaculate when we arrived and the scenery was beautiful. Our children all LOVED walking down the lane to see the goats and cow that are in the pasture. On clear nights the stars are stunning! This home is conveniently located to lots of sight seeing and hikes as well as grocery stores. Of the 2 places we stayed on Kona our children loved this property the most. We will have memories from this trip forever!

We loved our stay here! Clean, comfortable, great view and lots of room in the house. The goats, cow and papayas were an added bonus.

Amazing house. Either new construction or newly remodeled. Great view of the ocean and sunset. Papaya trees ripe for the picking on the property. Sleeping accomodations were sooo comfortable. The kitchen was clean and spacious with plenty of seating for the whole family. Anything needed for food preparation was there. In-unit laundry was a big plus. The fans and elevation kept the house comfortable at all times. Snorkel gear, boogie boards and surf gear were there to use free of charge along with coolers and beach chairs. The living room was spacious, comfortable, and could sleep an extra ~3 people if necessary. The walk in closet in the master bedroom was ginormous and could sleep another person on the air matress (located in the kids bedroom closet) if needed. This was a really great property. The house owners live up the hill about 100 feet so if you need anything they're right there. It was very comfortable and honestly not a far drive from town-you'll appreciate the elevation when sleeping.
