Monkey Homestay & Bar

We had a lovely 2 nights stay at Monkey Homestay. It's a very quiet Island. The Homestay was conformable and in a great location. The staff were very helpful with everything we needed. Food was exceptional.

The breakfast was best if you had local dish & some good food in the evening with a nice view. Some local shop in walking distance / restaurant. You really need a scooter for the area.

Great location and food. Room was good for the price. Staff are wonderful, very welcoming and friendly. We couldn't do the snorkelling trip, so the staff arranged a private boat for us, which cost less than the tours and meant we had the snorkelling spot to ourselves.

We booked a 3-night stay, and the homestay was a budget place, as expected for the low price. It was clean, and the location was lovely. The rooms are on the smaller side, and our rooms had the bathrooms outside (still private, but you need to step out of your room). There is no TV in the room or any other facilities, so travelling with kids can quickly become boring if you spend more than one night. Some reviews mentioned music at night, as it is a bar, we had none the whole time (April visit). Also, they will pick you up with a buggy (they didn't offer this to us, although it wasn't a long walk from the pier). The island is lovely but slightly more expensive than the mainland.

Very basic, don't expect much.
