Palace Inn IAH Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport

Crisp, clean linens and a tastefully decorated, renovated look make this hotel a great budget stay. It is close to the airport and offers good value for a short stay, never overpromising on amenities or underdelivering on basics. The excellent staff even accommodated my family by placing us in two rooms next to each other. I really appreciated the little attentions to detail, like the disposable toothbrushes and mouthwash. I’ve stayed in "better" hotels that overpromise and underdeliver, but housekeeping is doing a great job here. Plus, the fans are super clean—no black mold, IYKYK!

It is a bit noisy due to the proximity to the highway, and the lights outside the rooms stay on all night, so it is not as restful for those who need a dark room to sleep well. We didn’t stop by the grab-and-go style breakfast, but it seems pretty basic (we saw coffee, juice, instant oatmeal etc).

Perfect place close to the airport to stay before, during or after flights if you need a rest. Clean, spacious rooms. Mine has a king bed that was very comfortable. True hot water in the shower without a clogged drain (which I so often experience in hotels). A/C works great. The check-in staff was friendly and the process super smooth. Free snacks, a few breakfast items and coffee available all day.

The TV remote was finicky and one bedside light didn't work.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating when I needed to make changes to my room due to broken heat.

The heat in my room was not working, but the staff was quick to move me to a different room. I was visiting during the huge cold snap, so it was imperative that I had working heat!
