The Octagon - Family Apparts - Wing B - A cozy place to stay, start and end your holidays

L'appartamento e' bello e comodo e in una bella zona residenziale. Nell ed il marito sono stati fantastici. Ci hanno prelevato in aeroporto e ci hanno accompagnato anche al supermercato. Abbiamo avuto un problema con il noleggio auto e, tramite loro, e' stato risolto nel migliore dei modi. Sono stati sempre disponibili alle nostre esigenze.Un fornito supermercato a pochi passi e' un valore aggiunto per l'appartamento.

Premier contact très sympathique avec les propriétaires Nell et Dev qui sont venus nous chercher gratuitement à l’aéroport et nous on fait découvrir la ville avant d’arriver à leur magnifique maison. L’endroit est très pratique, proche de 2 centres commerciaux, restaurants et arrêt de bus. Le logement est vaste et confortable, bien meublé, avec une literie de qualité et tout l’équipement de cuisine nécessaire pour la préparation de repas (les premiers ingrédients utiles, tels que sucre, sel, huile, etc .. , nous ont été gentiment fournis par Nell). Nous avons eu vraiment le sentiment d’être accueillis comme chez des amis, tellement les propriétaires de cet hébergement ont su être à la fois prévenants, disponibles et malgré tout discrets pendant toute la durée de notre séjour ; Ce sont de Super-hôtes que nous recommandons.

The Octagon’s hosts Nell and Dev are hospitality Ambassadors to Mauritius. Be prepared to be impressed by their kindness, communication, and desire to make your stay memorable. This was our second stay in their wings -they are The Best hosts we have ever had. We will strive to stay with them again, as their welcoming care is an attraction onto itself. The Octagon is truly an oasis, complete with delicious productive papaya, mango, peppers and more –a small private jungle, and cool place for breakfast. The rooftop meditation area is an amazing place to admire Mauritian dusk and dawn, with amazing colours visible over the deep blue Indian Ocean. Everything is spotlessly clean. You’ll find every amenity well stocked –and if you don’t, just ask! Nell or Dev will make it so.

We really liked Mahebourg and nearby Blue Bay. There are busses, or you can rent one of the hosts’ cars. They’re even known to act as guides, taking guests for a drive to The North, or Port Louis. Dev took me grocery shopping, even when we arrived late. Nell booked our first guided tour of Grand Bassin and Alexandra Falls, making sure we got the best price (far less than posted rates, which is otherwise impossible for tourists). They are completely unobtrusive, but instantaneously responsive.
