Vila Grosa

Az egész ház a miénk volt. A családomnak szempont a tágas, saját tér. Közvetlenül a tengerparton található, a kilátás elképesztő. A lépcsőzetes kertben mindenhol lehet pihenni, napozni. A két hálószoba tengerre nyílik. A ház belseje nagyon egyedi.

A berendezés kicsit retró. A két fürdő kopott, felújításra szorulna. A felszereltsége régies, de voltaképp minden van, ami szükséges.

Звичайно, помешкання потребує косметичного ремонту, оновлення меблів. Але і ціна буде інша…

The view from the terrace and bedrooms is simply spectacular. The terrace itself is large and well equipped: there are sun loungers, chairs, and a parasol. The location of the house is perfect: right at the sea (nothing blocking your view of the water and Krk), just away from the busy side of Sveti Juraj (if you can call it busy), and a small grocery store and restaurants/bars are within 3 minutes of walking. Right in front of the house, you can jump straight into the water from a small jetty to go swimming, snorkeling and exploring the small uninhabited island in sight. The house exterior is beautiful, partially being carved out of rock.

However, there were a couple of nuisances that we had to fix or get adjusted to. First, the house interior is old. The bathrooms and kitchen need a renovation. Many faucets and drains, as well as the coffee machine, are badly calcified, for instance. In the living room, some lights were not working and the furniture is a bit worn. Second, although we would not say the house was dirty, there were a couple of hints that it was not cleaned properly either. For instance: greasy cabinet knobs and a greasy small grill in the kitchen; spilled sugar in the kitchen cabinet; hairs in the shower’s drain; some dust on floors; and cobwebs in the bedrooms. Also, when we wanted to use the washing machine, it turned out to be not properly installed, so the residual water was flowing into the bathroom. We quickly fixed this, but it left a bad smell. It would’ve been good if the hostess told us this about the washing machine. The hostess Kaja was nice, but only spoke German (besides Croatian). A booklet with info about the house in several languages would have been nice. You could argue these are minor nuisances, but they’re nuisances you don’t want to have to deal with during holidays. And most of them could have easily been prevented.

The host has insisted to make photos of ours id cards. Usually, in other places, we fill the registration froms, the host checks the id-s and that'a all. This was very unpleasant.
