About this house rental
A stone's throw from the Château de la Rochefoucauld, the Domaine de Chabrot, between woods, meadows and river, is an ideal refuge to rediscover the simple pleasures of the countryside. The 30ha domain classified Natura 2000, flanked by a Castle, a Dungeon and a 15th century farmhouse deploys between its paths and bridleways, its wood, its fields, its meadows and its horses a place where time is suspended.
The former farmhouse converted into a comfortable cottage with neat and cozy decor is 180 m2 on 2 levels.
It is composed upstairs of 2 levels serving 2 bedrooms and a bathroom (with WC) each. On the ground floor, a large room with a kitchenette, dining area and small living room, a large living dining room, 2 separate WCs, a shower room.
A large garden equipped with sun loungers and garden tables and chairs as well as a barbecue, outdoor games.
Every moment is an invitation to dream and contemplate nature.
Near the Castle, along the Tardoire river, a white sand beach has been set up, you can enjoy the coolness of the river in summer. It is a place of rest and conviviality.

Thank you for your hospitality, as we have spent a very enjoyable family holiday in your delightful property. Not only it provided us with a very comfortable "pied a terre", but it was also a great place to admire the summer night sky and have charming walks along the Tardoire. Excellent séjour dans un cadre magnifique et naturel, gîte fonctionnelle et très bien réhabilité, grand espace extérieur sécurisé parfait pour les enfants, nombreuses activités à l'intérieur de la propriété : promenade, baignade, présence de chevaux très appréciés des enfants, ... Région riches en patrimoines et activités : chateaux, grottes, canoë, ... Accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires passionnant et passionnés par la mise en valeur naturel et patrimonial de cette propriété de très grande qualité. Merci beaucoup !

L'ancien corps de ferme est situé au sommet d'une colline entourée de champs et de forêts. Le jardin est délimité par les trois volumes du logis des écuries et de la grange. A l'est, la vue s'ouvre sur le paysage.
Nous avons adoré ce décor idyllique et avons été très bien reçu par les propriétaires qui habitent le château un peu plus loin dans la vallée au bord de la rivière.
Nous n'avons donc pas dû nous éloigner beaucoup de notre lieu de résidence pour profiter pleinement de ces vacances où le repos et le bain de nature étaient au rendez-vous.
