Beautiful spot for walking from

Location on the river was beautiful.

Accessing the keys was like the crystal maze After a long long drive we had to follow instructions to get to a key safe, then a code for the door. At the time it seemed a lot.

Lovely. Relaxing, great local pub with friendly staff and patrons and bloody fantastic meals!

Location was at end of long narrow road next to river and at night was a small challenge to drive up to apartment for first time. Liked the size and warmth of the rooms.

Squeaky floors. Hasp and staple in kitchen door was broken. All else was good

huge bright apartment, high ceilings large windows. Very peaceful location, walks on doorstep

I was notified where to collect keys and given the appropriate code in good time

Rainforest shower head not properly fixed to wall, therefore did not use. Managed to use the hand held shower, but not ideal. Could not open the lock box with the code provided to return keys. But was able to leave with a nearby resident

A great base and hideaway

A great location and a lovely sense of space in the apartment. The key instructions were very clear and were an entertaining start to our trip, a little bit like an easy early level of an "escape the room" puzzle. A nice serection of leaflets, games and DVDs were waiting for us. The kitchen was clean and well equipped. The lounge was comfortable and soon warmed up with an easy to use central heating control by the TV. An excellent location midway between Buxton and Bakewell with lots of places of interest an easy drive away, and local walks.

The bath tap's design means it overshoots the side of the bath if you turn it full on which was a surprise. A few more lamps would have been useful (there was one bedside lamp and one lamp in the living room, but for more than one person reading or crafting in the same room, not a great deal of light.

Great location for walking, relaxing and generally getting away from it all.

Location was perfect. Beautiful countryside walks literally starting outside the front door. I mean, I know people often say that but have never stayed anywhere before where this is true. And the pub at the end of the road is cosy, has some great beers and fantastic food. Apartment itself was lovely, cool, spacious. Fantastic kitchen and great powerful shower.

I think the key access instructions could've been slightly clearer so that my whole family didn't trudge right round to one side of the building dragging all our luggage to just get the key and then have to trudge back around to where we'd started to get in the building. Daughter was excited that there was an XBOX with loads of games but we couldn't get it to work.

Peaceful and restful place to stay.

Great location. Fantastic walks from the door. Very central for visiting the peaks. The actual location is tranquil..

Some of the other neighbours were quite noisy, or rather the sound proofing was not great. But don't be put off, the tranquility of the area is superb.

Great location, Central, but access road to apartment flooded.

The location is picturesque. Beautiful walks. Central to everywhere in the Peaks. I would recommend this place. Lovely pub at the bottom of the road as well.

The road to the apartment flooded. The river burst it's banks, this meant we had to leave early in a rush and cut short our stay. If we had not done this we would have been stranded. There needs to be another way in or out, or at least flood defences.

Very enjoyable

The apartment was a lot more spacious than the photos showed. It was well kitted out with all requirements including dvds, books and cds and games. Even though an old building the accommodation was warm and cosy. It is situated by a fast flowing river which is lovely to walk up as well as views up to higher ground with plenty of brave sheep, appearing to cling to the hillside. The Anglers Rest pub is only a mile back up the road but you will need torches the walk is in total darkness. Their food is homemade and very tasty. There are some lovely walks around if you are up for a hike or the Monsal Trail is flat and give some lovely views

The taps in the bath were a bit of shock as the water sprayed directly out of the bath, i got around this by draping my flannel over the outlet to contain the water.

Absolutely excellent in every way

The apartment was lovely and spacious and very clean. Cupboards were well stocked with essentials. Also games, dvds etc.

The bath taps made the water shoot out into the floor so had to fill the bath with the shower hose but lovely bath once done.

Very comfortable, beautifully renovated apartment. Relaxing quiet area. Easy to drive to various parts of the peak district.

Instructions on where to park and find keys were not very easy to follow.
