Delightful village with friendly community run pub. Cottage is enchanting with roses and honeysuckle round the door. Very comfortable sofas and beds, with lovely quality bed linen and towels. Wonderfully quiet with walks on the doorstep. And Maddy, the housekeeper, was extremely friendly and helpful. Very well placed for exploring the northern side of Dartmoor.
The steep uneven stairs really are incredibly steep and uneven. The smell of oil in the rear garden, noted by a previous guest, was still there, and persisted, although improved, even after Maddy called their oil man out. The bath is on a raised level and is designed for someone unbelievably tall to get in and out of - I'm 5'4" and I had to use a step ladder (literally!) to climb in and out.

Tout était parfait. Les lits étaient incroyablement confortables, la maison adorable, et surtout très tranquille.
Le chauffage était compliqué à utiliser. Nous n'avons pas compris à quelle heure il se déclenchait, ou comment le faire fonctionner manuellement.

Beautiful cosy cottage , furnished to high speck and spotlessly cleaned.
Very welcome Cream tea supplied when we arrived.
Wonderful location for dog walking . Great food at both the Drew Arms and Fingle Bridge Inn.
Castle Drogo a must .
Very minor- towels provided were ready for replacement.
