Homey Budget Bedroom

Beautiful room in great location on the canal, close to good restaurants and shops. Quiet, comfy bed, coffee machine, fridge and balcony. Yan was a terrific, generous host. Highly recommended.

Nothing to dislike

We had a wonderful stay at Homey Budget Bedroom! The location is excellent, especially if you're visiting the Melkweg, which is conveniently close. Getting to and from Amsterdam Centraal was also straightforward, making it a great base for exploring the city. One of the highlights was Jan, the owner, who was incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming. He made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The room itself was cozy, exceptionally clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Despite being called "a budget bedroom", it was well-equipped, with a mini-fridge, a small balcony, and a private bathroom with a shower. I also have to give a special mention to the bedsheets, which were quite possibly the softest we've ever slept in.

The only thing worth noting for prospective guests is that the staircase leading up to the apartment is typically Dutch in its steepness. This could present a challenge for anyone with mobility difficulties, so it's something to keep in mind when booking.

This room was a gem as it was perfectly located on one of the main canals and within walking distance to all the major city highlights. The nicest thing about this little room was the owner Yan, who immediately made us feel very welcome and gave us fabulous recommendations for our two day stay in Amsterdam. Yes! the room was small but it had everything you could possibly need for a short and convenient stay.

Don't expect luxury, but enjoy something much nicer... a cozy space shared with a friendly and hospitable host.

Yan was a great host, perfect location . Lots of restaurants near by, helpful with recommendations. Our only issue were the steep and winding stairs.

Just the winding-narrow stairs. Yan was helpful with, he did carry the luggage for us.
