Prinus Country Retreat Apokoronas, heated pool, 13km from the sea

Prinus is a perfect place for getaway. It's located in beautiful place surrounded with mountains and sheep, away from main tourist locations - no noise, no loud music from hotels and bars. Village is located in walking distance and it's possible to spend whole vacation enjoying the villa, replenishing main supplies in village and enjoying local tavern. There is even larger selection of groceries and service withing 10 minute ride by car. On the other hand, it's easy to reach many interesting places by car within 1h reach - from Chania to Rethymno and Sfakia. My favourite part of villa is that it has a separate outdoor area for every occasion - separate place for pool BBQ, terrace for meals with astonishing view, pool area with sunbeds and my personal favourite - terrace upstairs, which is perfect for evening glass of wine and sunset. Everything is thought through and convenient. However, villa itself is only part of the story. Hospitality of hosts was beyond any comments. Starting from super helpful hints and recommendations about the area to pleasant tasty surprises. Very pleasant experience. Thank you!

Seven of us have just spent the most idyllic week in this magical place. Set in stunning countryside surrounded by olive groves, with only the sound of cicadas and sheep bells in the distance. This villa is truly beautiful and the interior and exterior have been wonderfully furnished and equipped. Perfect breakfasts on the terrace for us as we were treated daily to figs and apricots picked fresh from the garden. Maria and her family are the perfect hosts and very generous to share their home made olive oil and delicious wine, both of which were incredibly good. Only a short drive to the nearest town and 15 mins to two great beaches and a fantastic seafood taverna for lunch. Highly recommended 5 star!

This is paradise on Crete everything was spotlessly clean. We had a very warm welcome and loved our stay

Maria and her father have created a true dream house. Everything is done with so much love, style and good taste. The inside area is decorated beautifully. The outside area with the pool and many nice sitting places and terraces is just phantastic. The hospitality of Maria and her friend Manolis and also of her parents is outstanding. We have been welcomed with Raki and fruits, wine and water was in the fridge. Vegetables from the garden, Gemista prepared by her mother. We have been speachless of so much kindness. Maria and Manolis gave us great tips for the area: beaches, restaurants etc. We could just try some and I can just recommend to follow her tips. They are more than worth to try. thank you again for the great stay, this wonderful Place and all the guidance :-) 100% recommendation. Go there and enjoy!
