Kowhai Cottage - Wanaka Holiday Home

The house was roomy and once the fire got going (and was kept going) it was nice and warm. There was plenty of firewood.

The management of this property left a lot to be desired. When we arrived there was no water into the property. I rang bachcare and was told there was a switch in the car port. There was no car port. My husband spent half an hour looking for the Toby to turn the water on! We had one hand towel between 6, of us for 3 nights. I asked for more and they were left outside so when we got back, they were damp (this happened twice). The soap dispenser was empty in the bathroom as was the air freshener! We had to wash some of the crockery and cutlery before using them as they were dirty. Also I got an email on Saturday telling me that I had check out, we had booked and paid to stay until Sunday! The only instructions left at the property were the WiFi password and vague tv instructions.
