About this house rental
Whether you are traveling with your family or friends, our Sunlight Beach home offers a wonderful opportunity to experience one of nicest beach communities on Whidbey Island. Located on Useless Bay, Sunlight Beach is a very quiet, family friendly neighborhood.
Our 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath beachfront home sits right on Sunlight Beach on Useless Bay. The main floor has an open floor plan with the kitchen, living room and dining area. All of these areas have a wide open view of the beach and water.
There is a large dining table that seats 8 as well counter seating for 4 in the kitchen. The living room has french doors that open up to a sun room. The sun room has garage style doors to create an 'outdoor' space when the weather is nice.
The main floor has one bedroom with a queen bed and it's own bathroom with a toilet and sink. There is one full bathroom in the house and that is on the main floor. Upstairs we have 2 more bedrooms, each with queen beds, and large windows looking out towards the water.
There is a grassy area between the house and the beach sand which is a great spot for outdoor games.
Please note that beach fires are not allowed.
We are very centrally located on the south end of the island. Langley, Freeland and the Clinton ferry terminal are all within a 15 minute drive. There is a grocery store, a few restaurants & coffee shops, and a wine shop all within a couple of miles.
We are in a very friendly beach community with neighbors close by, so if you are looking for a party spot this won't be a good option for you. Day guests are not permitted at the house, only registered guests are allowed.
Parking is limited to 2 cars at any time. Street parking is not available.

Truly a stunning Whidbey beach vacation. The views are impeccable from the two upstairs bedrooms, dining area, and all three living spaces. We loved sitting on the deck and watching our toddler run around in the backyard, and enjoyed coffee on the sun porch every morning. It feels peaceful and remote but it’s close to Langley so no problem going out for dinners and shopping if that’s what you want to do! As others have mentioned, the kitchen and bathrooms aren’t fancy but they’re definitely serviceable and we found all other aspects of the house made us forget that there aren’t updates in those areas. Highly recommend! We’re already looking at availability for next year.

We had a wonderful stay. The view and location can't be beat. The house definitely needs updates from mildew in the bathroom to kitchen cabinets that are hard to open. The truth is the view and location make up for pretty much any issues with the house.

We have stayed here before and will stay here again. It’s a great rental with everything we need in a great location on the beach and close to shops and restaurants. The house is very clean and is a great size for our family.

We are just so pleased with our stay. Our 2 kids (ages 9 and 5) had a great time both inside and out. Very comfortable stay and some very nice details with quality dishes, appliances, and linens. You can tell it's an older place, but some of the updates are very nice and it just felt ....right.The weather was a bit rough, which allowed us to enjoy the view from inside while working on a puzzle all day. The sandy beach was very cool. The tide was way in during the day, completely covering all of the sand. But we noticed the tide was waayyyy out at night. If you time it right, the beach would be epic. I've yet to stay the same place twice on Whidbey, but it might be hard to stay somewhere else next time. Thank you so much!
