Gellért Budapest Suites

Located near public transport with great connections to go around the city. The area is great and much better than staying over on the Pest side. A/C was working well and the place was always a nice temperature. Kitchen was small and has only the essentials, but we ate out most of the time and the area has some great dining options all day.

No enough toilet paper for two people.

Great location, with many cute restaurants and cafés only a few minutes of walking away. The apartment was very pretty and clean. We also liked the level of security, as we had to go through four doors secured by keypad locks to get to the room.

We received a message directing us to the self check-in website, but the link was missing. Customer service was difficult to contact on the phone, but eventually we were able to talk to a lady who sent us the relevant links via email. She sounded rather bored or annoyed. This way we were only able to check in 20-30 minutes after the room was supposed to be ready, which is not an extremely long delay, but enough to be a hassle. The handle of the apartment entrance needs fixing, because sometimes we couldn’t close the door right away and had to hold it in a specific way for the lock to work. Finally, the tram tracks are relatively close to the building, so a slight rumbling noise can be heard and a bit of a vibration can be felt when a tram passes by. In my opinion it was very minimal and not bothersome at all, but people who are more sensitive to sound might find it unpleasant.

Location! Spacious and clean.

Street noise was loud. The trams go by just outside. Staff was minimally helpful when messaging for information or questions.

The room was nice.

It was really hard to get into the apartment, the automated door system is very buggy — the response time of the owner didn’t make the situation easier either.
