Clean, good aircon, excellent location, lovely cat and staff

The location was great for pretty much everything, but for a decent supermarket. There is a smaller one very close by, albeit with a limited choice. I stayed in a dormitory, which was only open as things are a bit quiet in Oman right now, what with the weather and war. But it was fine. During busier times, there must be quite the vibe in the hostel.

I wish the owners had more practical information which they could share with guests. Such as all the approximate bus schedules, the best places to change money, the taxi options & procedures, the car rental companies, the fort opening & closing hours, the goat market information. You know, the kind of local knowledge that assists the guests. Oman can be a very awkward country to travel around, especially if using public transport. I had initially intended to rent a car from Nizwa, but after all the hassles, I eventually gave up.

I loved how close the guesthouse was to Nizwa fort; just 5 minutes walking distance! It is still in a quiet part of town and there was a lot of parking across the street. The host was very nice, kind, and responsive. The room and building was very clean and inviting.

The only thing I didn't like was that I stayed only one night. I will absolutely come here again if I visit Nizwa in the future!
