Lovely quiet location.

We loved the quiet location. There was a playground on site, a cafe selling lovely ice cream and a small lake with pedalos. The room we had, had comfortable beds and was en-suite. The owner was most helpful and was very responsive to my messages! We definitely recommend a car due to the location of the property, especially if you have kids.

The only very small gripe, and it is small, was that the bathroom floor got extremely wet after 3 people using the shower, so a bath mat or a higher lip round the shower would be helpful.

Good location and great for family stay

Poor and not very friendly customer service, damp smell and issues with hot water , floor in showers was unstable , had spiders in the rooms

Lovely location but extremely disappointing and let down by the standards/cleanliness inside the accommodation.

The location was perfect. The entrance was decorated perfectly.

Cleanliness. Our bathroom was not clean (separate from the room). Dirty toilet, hair on the floor and mouldy shower curtain. The shared kitchen space was also dirty with no cleaning equipment (cleaner, towels etc)

A beautiful place with beautiful scenery. The children’s play areas are brilliant and the water powered merry go round is amazing. Brilliant for young children. Pedaloo’s on the lake were fun

If you don’t drive the closest shop is about 20-30 minutes walk

Fantastic, I would 100% return

Loved the location and the unique facilities right in the middle of amazing nature Its a really comfortable place to stay, explore and chill The owner was exceptional even allowing us to stay on for an extra night free due to ferry cancellations

That we didnt get replacement coffee/tea/towels etc for a number of nights stay Although we were next to communal kitchen area I think a small under counter fridge would have been great in the room. There were a lot of moths, dragon flies and bugs in the downstairs kitchen so didnt like using it. Deep clean on floors and showers to keep standards 10/10

Something different.

Fantastic location, it suited us as a family as there is a playground on the doorstep.

Each room had a separated designated wet room / bathroom in the corridor. We didn’t realise this when we booked. Needs external lighting & signage.

IOM is fantastic and the Trail Lodge was prefect for us.

Location was perfect for our needs. Really quiet and relaxing. Walking distance from the pub too.

Lovely little family staycay

Properly was lovely, renovations completed to such a high standard with original features such as exposed steel beams and manx stone walls. We had the place to ourselves as we went on our staycation mid week with our toddler (26 months) which was a real positive for us.

The only negative for us was that the property description doesn’t mention a shared kitchen and that bathroom facilities were not en-suite and were further down the corridor. Each individual room had its own allocated wet room with a key which was fab. But with having a toddler, we woke her early doors having to visit the bathroom down the hall. If you were going with a group of friends or older children this is such a good concept.
