First of all the apartment location is fantastic, next to Hyde park and the Marple arch station is just around the corner. Also it has a beautiful view over the street. The apartment was warm and clean and had hot water and a fully functional kitchen.

The building wasn’t the cleanest, but that’s not the host’s responsibility.

The location was excellent, with easy access to two Underground stations (Edgware Road and Marble Arch). The apartment was compact but still comfortable and clean on arrival. The building also has a lift, which is handy, though it has a fairly low weight limit of 300 kg.

The bathroom has a shower-over-bath setup, but the bath doesn’t appear to have its own taps, so you’d need to fill it using the shower if you wanted a bath. Given the limited space, a walk-in shower might have made more sense. The apartment also doesn’t have a TV, although the WiFi is good, so you’ll need a laptop or tablet if you want to watch anything. The building itself is quite worn and could use some maintenance, though this is outside the host’s control, and the apartment is in much better condition than the communal areas might suggest. The windows are single-glazed sash windows, so being in central London, there is a fair amount of street noise. Again, not something the host can realistically change, so I wouldn’t mark them down for it.

L’emplacement est idéal pour visiter Londres, à deux pas de Hyde Park. Le lit était confortable et propre et la salle de bain est neuve.

L’isolation acoustique est inexistante à cause de la porte et des fenêtres en très mauvais état, et la rue est très bruyante toute la nuit. On entend les gens passer dans le couloir de l’immeuble comme si ils étaient dans la même pièce, si vous avez le sommeil léger c’est vraiment pas le bon appartement. Le mobilier (autre que le lit) est très cheap et en mauvais état .
