Manchester Center Retreat with Mtn View, Near Skiing

Very responsive hosts, we had a little problem w the wifi and they were right on it. Beds were comfortable and it was quiet at night.

Train track in front of the house is still active. A freight train came through 10 minutes after we got there with crossing dinging, whistle blowing, etc. kinda freaked us out but luckily we did not see that again during our stay. Also, the stairs up to the second floor are typical of those leading to an attic of an old house, steep and shallow. My companion uses a cane and walker, if I’d known what a challenge it would be to climb and descend the stairs we would have looked elsewhere. There is a short para in the description that mentions “stairs to the second floor” but it literally did not register to me as I was making plans that this was a second floor unit. Maybe be a little more forthcoming that it would be difficult for someone with limited mobility to access the unit. If I had come with my mother we would have had to turn around and go somewhere else.

Place was very nice. Very clean. Beds and bedding very comfortable .. heater in living room and both bedrooms rooms created a nice warmth and owner was very nice. Thought price was a little steep for the 2 nights stay particularly with not have hot water during our stay which prevented us from being able to comfortably shower due to a plumbing issue that the owner was unable to fix during our stay. Would not hesitate to purchase again as long as there would be hot water. Outside of not being able to take a warm hot shower - it was truly a comfortable nice 2 spacious bedroom - nicely decorated mini apartment and we enjoyed our stay. Living room was very comfortable and TV and WiFi accommodations were good.
