Worn and tired Bungalow right on beautiful Katwijk aan Zee Beach

Location right on the beach.....great view right out the front door. Also, it was easy off-load and on-load close to the bungalow.

Unfortunately, the unit we were assigned to (#6) was very worn out and tired looking, with cheaper fixtures, furniture, and so on, which it very difficult to feel truly comfortable. Only bed sheets were provided (they were in a plastic bag on the table on arrival.....i.e. beds were not made), with towels only available at an extra cost (we brought our own towels). Also, the internet didn't work for the first 12 or more hours after we arrived, so we were given a voucher for a free drink (no cocktails). There was a mildew smell from the bathroom with water collecting under the bathroom door jam. When we asked for a 1-hour extension on our check-out time on day of departure (from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on a Monday!), we simply told no. When I returned the key at check-out and was asked how we liked the unit, I stated that we thought the unit was worn and tired. There was no further interest or questioning about our experience or what could have made it better, sorry for the condition of the unit, etc. In summary, the Willy Zuid bungalow we stayed at was way overpriced for the underwhelming quality, condition, and services associated with the unit. The only reason we didn't give this facility a lower rating is due to the location of the bungalow directly on beautiful Katwijk aan Zee Beach.

Fabulous stay directly on the beach

The location was amazing! The availability of the chairs, table and wind screen in front of each house was nice. Within walking distance to restaurants and the city. Beautiful area. The small fridge had a freezer compartment. Bed linens included.

A screen on the bathroom and bedroom would be nice. It would help with sand and flying insects.

Loved it!

Excellent experience to stay in a tiny house on the beach. We went in the off season and had the beach to ourselves. Staff is Super Nice and very accommodating. We ordered breakfast from the restaurant and it was delivered the next morning right to us. There is a great picnic bench right in front of the house to watch the sunset. You should know, you make the beds yourselves upon arrival, a linen set is set out on the bed. The place had everything we needed. TIP: take everything you need in a duffel bag or something collapsible as there is not much storage place. It is dog friendly! We will happily go back.

The water heater for tea was calcified and needs to be replaced. All else great!

Super plek op het strand.Huisje is klein en simpel, maar alles wat we nodig hadden was aanwezig. Je moet er wel tegen kunnen dat overal zand zit. Wij hebben genoten!

Het paviljoen was al weg. Jammer dat dit niet bekend was.

Das ich nach 10Stunden Autofahrt, ins Haus kam einen Cafe machen wollte und ich merkte das ich erst einmal abwaschen darf. Wir haben schon einige solche Beachhäuschen gehabt, aber hier ist das Preis/Leistung vorallem für Oktober das schlechteste. Keine Handtücher, keine Kuscheldecken. Für 2Personen ok. Als Familie zu klein. Das die Betten seperat sind für ein Ehepaar oder Paar . Parkhaus 10min entfernt.

Besonders

Absolut tolle Erfahrung am Strand zu schlafen. Die Hütte war super ausgestattet. Eine ganz andere und besondere Art Urlaub zu machen. Das Personal war richtig freundlich und das Essen im Restaurant hat sehr lecker geschmeckt. Hunde sind auch willkommen:-)

Betten könnten mal erneuert werden, sowie Toilettenbrillen, welche schon sehr abgenutzt waren. Der Boden könnte ebenfalls besser gereinigt werden, der war nicht nur vom Sand dunkel.

Supermooie locatie. Heerlijk ontspannen!

Het huisje is fantastisch gelegen. Het allerbelangrijkste was voor ons dat onze 2 honden (Ierse wolfshond en klein bastaardhondje) welkom waren. Zo fijn. Als je wil wandelen, stap je zo het pad op. Als er tenminste geen stormwind is 😉. Dan was het voor mij bv al wat moeilijker om door een hoge berg zand te waden voor je aan het pad kwam. Men doet alle moeite om het zand de baas te kunnen maar helaas, soms is de natuur sterker dan de mens. En das ook okee. Ook in de strandbar voelden we ons welkom met de honden. We hebben gretig gebruik gemaakt van de broodjesservice. En je kan er ook lekker eten.

Als je wat moeilijker te been bent, is het slapen gaan wat moeilijker. Er is tussen de 2 bedden maar net genoeg plek voor je benen. Dat wisten we en namen we voor lief. De locatie maakt alles goed.

Einfach Traumhaft schön...

Es war ein traumhaft schöner Urlaub. Wir können es nur weiterempfehlen, der Sandstrand ist wunderschön. Die Lage einfach ein Traum. Morgens einen Kaffee direkt am Strand wer hat das schon. Ideal zum Entspannen da es auch sehr ruhig dort ist. Unsere Hunde hatten viel Spaß und alle Menschen dort waren sehr nett! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder❤️

Eigentlich wirklich toll am Strand und am Wasser zu leben. Wir hatte tolle Tage dort! Die Unterkunft ist in die Jahre gekommen und dafür eigentlich zu teuer. Aber es lohnt sich trotzdem! Dank!!

Ein absoluter Traum ist natürlich die direkte Lage am Strand.

Die Betten waren für uns persönlich eine kleine Katastrophe. Viel zu weich.

Tolle Lage. Wundervolles Städtchen und ein richtig schöner, weitläufiger Strand.

Das Haus verfügt über keinerlei Abstellmöglichkeiten. Ein paar Regale wären sehr sinnvoll! Im Bad gab es nur ein extrem kleines Becken ohne warmes Wasser. Die Unterkunft war leider auch nicht richtig sauber. Alle Küchenutensilien mussten vor Benutzung nochmal ordentlich gereinigt werden - sogar das Abtropfgestell für das Geschirr, sowie Töpfe mit Essensresten und schmierige Teller. Unter den Betten war ziemlich viel Staub. Vielleicht hatten wir aber auch nur mit unserem Häuschen etwas Pech.

Erholsam und perfekt mit Kleinkind und Hund.

Die Lage war ein Traum! Man konnte die ganze Zeit das Meer beobachten und auf der kleinen Veranda geschützt sitzen.

Wenn man etwas suchen wollen würde, wäre eine Mikrowelle in der man auch etwas überbacken/ aufbacken kann toll. Aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau
