Location was great. Central for what we wanted to do. Lake Placid, ferry, and Burlington Vermont. Very interesting house with all the comforts of home.

It certainly is a “historic” property near Plattsburgh proper, site of last battle of War of 1812. We enjoyed eating out at good restaurants and traveling about. House is large and spacious and full of eclectic furniture both modern and vintage, some features eccentric. Kitchen was replete with spices and every kind of plate and utensil imaginable. Yard and grounds welcoming and luscious with flowers. We were greeted by an edible treat and a nice note (although date and my name were incorrect). All bedrooms upstairs with the one bathroom (2nd was downstairs) making it somewhat awkward for our two-couple party. This is not a house for a family/party with anyone mobility challenged, with stairs at front and back entrances and different floor levels within, plus narrow creaky steps to second floor.
Stairs, single bath for four bedrooms upstairs.
