Four Monkeys Eco Lodge Jungle & Beach - The House

Die Unterkunft war wirklich sehr schön, ein Haus, mit 2 Schlafzimmer, ein Bad, nur kaltes Wasser, Küche voll ausgestattet, und eine wunderschöne Terrasse. Es gibt nur 2 Ventilatoren keine A/C. Fanden wir aber nicht schlimm. Da das Haus offen ist, indem Fenster sind lediglich Fliegengitter, keine Scheiben, hört man die Natur 24h, morgens wird man von den Brüllaffen geweckt. Es war eine tolle Erfahrung, man kann sehr gut abschalten. Sieht Massenhaft Tiete, Tukan, Aras, Kolibris, Kapuzineraffen und so viel mehr.

Die Anfahrt ist eine Herausforderung, da die Brücke eingestürzt ist muss man mit dem Auto durch einen Fluss durch fahren, es gibt keinen alternativen. Mit 4x4 sicherlich kein Problem, wir hatten ein normales Auto.

A place is amazing, location by the beach. Sitting on porch we had Ocean view. Early mornings we're awake by Hawler monkeys, after that was even better. We saw all species just in our garden. Apartment was clean and comfortable, hosts great. We had unforgettable time.

We have decided this was our favorite place to stay on our trip. The hosts were fantastic, kind, helpful. The beach is right at the end of the property, safe swimming for my daughter, hammocks, very nice accommodation. We saw monkeys, a Sloth, many different birds on the property and even a dolphin from the beach one morning. Their dogs are cute and happy to join you to the beach as well.

This property is right on the beach. The waves were small, but it was very peaceful and relaxing. The house was cute and comfortable. It had a kitchen where we were able to cook our breakfast before heading out. The ceiling fans helped since there was no A/C. The howler monkeys were LOUD at 5am in the morning!

The shower was TOO HOT, with no way to adjust it colder--the cold water pipe was probably not working right. We had to use cold water from the sink in a pot to mix with the hot and wash ourselves. Also, be warned--this is REMOTE. There is one restaurant nearby, but no stores or food or gas (once you leave Puerto Jimenez, there are no real stores or gas on the Osa Peninsula). And the road is a gravel/mud road with lots of potholes and at least one river you must drive through (although the government is currently building a bridge to fix that). 4WD vehicle STRONGLY recommended, especially if you plan to drive further down the road to Matapalo or beyond. And note, Matapalo isn't really a city or even a village--its a collection of private houses and hotels. No stores or restaurants there either.
